‘Umar ibn Al-Khattab commands to fire the christian

05 Aug

As-Salamu ‘Alaikum

A lot of people of hawaa and scholars of duniya who seek to earn respect from kafirs say that the verse 5:51 only refers to war times and so on, because they are embarrassed of Islam in front of their kafir friends, which is inevitable because Islam in itself is that which is the opposite of kufr. They can’t bring themselves to tell their kafir friends that Islam makes it HARAM for Muslims to bear friendships and affinities with kafirs.

This narration is present under the tafsiir’s of both Imam Abul Hasan Al-Khazen and Imam Fakhruddin Ar-Razi. Mind you, this narration is in relation to a dhimmi. The present day kafirs are only worse than dhimmis.

Translation of meaning: O you who believe! Do not take the jews and christians as friends; they are friends of each other; and he who bears affinities to them from amongst you, then he is from them; indeed, Allah does not guide a transgressing people. [Holy Quran 5:51]

Narration by Sayyidina Abu Muusa Al-Ash’ari, present in 2 books of tafsiir, Imam Fakhruddin Ar-Razi’s Mafaatiih Al-Ghayb and Imam Abul Hasan Al-Khazen’s Lubab At-Tawiil fi Ma’ani At-Tanziil, under the mentioned verse:

Abu Musa Al-Ash’ari narrates, “I said unto ‘Umar ibn Al-Khattab: I have a christian writing clerk. He [‘Umar] said: “What’s with you?! Allah seize your life! You couldn’t find a pure one [i.e., Muslim]? Haven’t you heard Allah Ta’ala’s verse {O you who believe! Do not take the jews and christians as friends; they are friends of each other…}.” I said, “His religion is for him, I just need his writing.” He [‘Umar] said, “Do NOT honor them when Allah has debased them, do NOT respect them when Allah has insulted them, do NOT endear them when Allah has distanced them [from His Mercy].” I said, “My job of Basrah can only be done by him.” He [‘Umar] said, “The christian died. Was-Salam.”  – Which means to imply, ‘Think he (the christian) has died, what would you do after it? Whatever you would do after his death, do it now, and hire a Muslim instead of him!’

ONLY a Muslim is worthy of being a Muslim’s friend.

And Allah alone grants success.

Wonderful presentation! Today I heard a prominent so-called Sunni saying that no matter what a person’s belief, according to him to respect the person. From the above , Did Calipha Umar respect the kuffar? Any knowledgeble Muslim knows that all kuffar insult Allah, His Rasul and Islam.
I think they are doing this to safe guard their resident permits, curry favor with the kuffar government, and make a fast buck.

As a kafir, should I have respect for someone that calls my children “filthy kafirs” even though I don’t call his children “filth”?

      1. Your respect or lack of it thereof, is meaningless to me as a Muslim, since you do not accept Allah, His Messengers, and His books, to start with – which are the very foundations of ‘respect’ for me or towards me.

      2. The filth is spiritual and that of the heart.

      3. My blog is primarily meant for Muslims who are misled by hypocrites claiming to be scholars of Islam. Muslims understand a lot of the terminology used herein. Children below the age of puberty/adulthood are not accountable. An adult person of sound mind and body who has heard of the Prophet ﷺ and his call to worship Allah alone, and yet doesn’t accept it, he/she is a kafir. An adult who hasn’t heard of him and is sealed off from society and worships the stars or moon etc. like some people living in the mountains and the forests, they too are kafirs, but they are not accountable, just like children of kafirs.

That said, as you can see, I welcome any genuine reader or any genuine question. Sincerity is valued. Trolling and idiocy is not.

Such perceived [dis]respect between believers of differing faiths leaves a fine line for what the bulk of people may feel is contempt; which it seems there is much of already; and for those like myself with hope for harmony it offers a darkened hope.

I could offer you some names of a couple of powerful [so called] Muslims which are tied in with the USA [xyz] family, and the Anglo-American oil industry which in my opinion are worthy of much less “respect” than me; but having read your suggested guidelines for Muslim website administrators I understand that contributing to fights between Muslims by kafirs won’t be tolerated.

I hope your view of Christians and that of Christians for Muslims changes soon, as Malcolm X’s view of white men changed after his Hajj [even though he spoke of white Muslims].

But in the meantime as the [so called] Christian West has “the upper hand” [for now] in these “evil” oil wars I can empathise with the deserved low respect coming our way but only because of “our” deeds.
When the tables turn, as I’m sure that history will some day ensure; I hope but don’t expect that “your people” can forgive me; but as we are probably more alike than many think, I can’t imagine that happening.
Even though “sorry” is too often a cheap word in English …. I’m sorry.

Islam is the opposite of kufr.

Any belief system other than Islam is kufr.

Two opposites do not simultaneously hold valid.

A person cannot profess two opposites simultaneously, nor can two people from two opposing camps be ‘friends’. See this and this, and this, among others.

The most two people from two opposite camps can have, is a protocol of engagement with each other.

Your talk about “harmony” is a product of the current empire, a hypocritical one, that runs the show.

In the past, let’s say a 150 years ago, you and I would have been citizens of two different empires, each [predominantly] religion-based, and for what it’s worth, each at least honest enough to express to the other that they are indeed an opposing camp.

The current, larger dominant empire (even if it doesn’t use the word) of “secular capitalism” is a different one perhaps than the smaller, individual kafir empires of the past, inasmuch as the dynamics and objectives are not direct/specific kufr-religion-based, but rather irreligious lustful-greed based, which is still kufr-based nonetheless from an Islamic perspective!

This particularly lustful, evil empire has managed better than ever (it used to happen against Islam in the past too, but not as well-done a job) to gather the varying factions of kufr (hinduism, christianity, judaism, atheism etc.) under one unified bloc in an illusion or maybe even a reality of inter-religious “peace” and “harmony”, in addition to the myth of “democracy” and “freedom” for the average peasant citizen.

Like any other empire based on kufr – be it the distinctively [other kufr religion]-based empires of the past or the current post-religious empire of non-religious secular capitalism that has bribed the various differing religious factions of kufr into one eventual unified religion of kufr – Islam is STILL an opposing ideology at all fronts, religious, economic, political, social, etc. and well, the empire doesn’t like opposition.

The empire has already quite successfully bribed the leadership of the Muslims to take care of the opposition from political, social and economic fronts, but is simply not satisfied with that.

They want to take our faiths out of our hearts too to make sure Muslims completely succumb to the status quo and Islam too is placed on equal footing with kufr, not just in the matters of state administration and political and economic policy, but even in the hearts and minds of men, and never in the history of Islam have we witnessed so many swine in the skins of lambs masquerading as scholars of Islam and attacking the very fundamentals of the creed, identity, and faiths of Muslims.

Politically speaking, you and I both know, the leaders of Muslims, like those of most other current nations, indeed have gleefully played into the hands of the empire. The many Islamic countries existent in these times are hardly individual Islamic states/empires as a distinctive political identity, but rather mostly the satellite states of the dominant empire. There is nothing I as a mere peasant-blogger can do about it.

Even if I could, it wouldn’t be a priority; as the first priority is to save my own faith in my heart and help save that of my brethren who are unwittingly and unknowingly misled by the hypocrites claiming to be scholars of Islam and trying to eat it away from within.

Hence the theme of my blog – safeguarding my own faith and that of any brethren from the menace of syncretism and perennialism – which is the religious fashion-statement of the day, in deed and in message, even if not explicitly stated in words by the enemies within OR even if not understood properly by many of my own brethren.

You have nothing to apologize to me for, even if you feel the guilt for the acts of your empire. You are in any case a member of the opposite camp. I appreciate your human awareness for the acts of your empire, but even if you were a foot-soldier of the empire, I wouldn’t have spoken to you any differently.

The damage done and the harm caused by SOME (obviously, not all) of those claiming to be my leaders, my brethren and shuyukh and scholars in my own community is far more, with the damage caused by those claiming to be shaykhs the absolute worst!

The leaders can only be bribed to sell my life and property to the empire which can then be trampled upon by a foot-soldier. If that happened, I would still be a winner in front of Allah when I die, for I would have left this world with faith in my heart.

Those claiming to be shuyukh, have taken it upon themselves to try their level best to pull the faiths of as many Muslims out of their hearts, as possible. And if faith is lost, then the empire of this world can weigh me in gold and diamonds, I would still have to die after a 50-100 years max and face my Creator – and there isn’t a greater loss than dying without Islam!

And I seek Allah’s refuge from it and I ask Him to protect my Islam and that of my brothers and sisters.

Thank you for your comment and I invite you to give up the worship of false deities and accept Allah the One & Only God of the universe, and His Messenger, my Master Muhammadas His last and final prophet.

We shall all die, regardless of our status in this world, and there isn’t a greater victory than leaving this world as a slave acceptable to the Creator & Owner of the universe, Allah.

To quickly get an idea for what I am about, you can read this, this, and this.

Note: The aim of this blog is to focus on the core creed, identity and basic tenets of Islam safeguarding it from perennialism and syncretism. While the odd mention is made on some political matters in a general sense, I refrain from discussing specific cases and incidents as it is a diversion from the central focus of negating syncretism, which is the root of the problems faced by many Muslims.

Specific cases and incidents can be individually explored by people or discussed on other blogs and sites for that specific purpose – politics.

Here we only mention politics extremely minimally and very generally, on an as needed basis.
