As-Salamu ‘Alaikum

This is a long post related to the fiqh of how Muslims should interact with kafirs. The language used is simple and conversational for the sake of ease of reading, but the choice of words is very deliberate, and therefore Muslims are urged to read and comprehend VERY carefully.

It is hoped that in-sha-Allah, a Muslim who values his faith and wishes to safeguard it, should find herein sufficient information to help him stay firm upon and practice Islam, while also understanding how our Master Rasulullah ﷺ, his companions and the mujtahid scholars of the ummah dealt with kafirs, or told us to deal with kafirs.

Please also note that before starting reading, Muslims also need to familiarize themselves and understand fully well the following points:

Please be aware that by ijma’ (consensus of classical, mujtahid scholars), a land is divided into

  1. Dar al-Islam – This is a land which is OVERWHELMINGLY DOMINATED by Islamic law and/or Muslims and/or sha’aairil Islam (the signs of Islam) like Islam being openly practiced without any hindrance what so ever, large numbers of mosques, the blessed adhan echoing throughout the country, public celebrations of ‘Eid Al-Adha and cows being slaughtered, and so on. Without getting into the discussion on the conditions necessary for labeling a land as Dar al-Islam, Muslims should note that present day Muslim nations will ALSO be called Dar al-Islam based on what is stated above, EVEN IF the Shari’ah is not implemented there. For example, modern Turkey or Indonesia would STILL be called Dar al-Islam, EVEN THOUGH the Shari’ah is not implemented there (or not in its entirety).
  2. dar al-harb – Any land that is not dar al-Islam is dar al-harb.

Furthermore, Muslims should also be aware of the classifications of what is a harbiy kafir and what is a kafir dhimmi. Even a minor student or servant of fiqh knows that the opposite of a dhimmi is a harbiy.

  1. kafir dhimmi – This is a kafir who dutifully pays the jizyah to the Muslim state. The jizyah is commanded by Allah to be slapped onto kafirs residing in a Muslim state. Unless otherwise explicitly stated, when Muslim fiqh manuals mention ‘kafir’, they are referring to a dhimmi, and NOT to a harbiy.
  2. kafir harbiyANY kafir who is not a dhimmi is a harbiy. The harbiy has been further divided into three categories as shown in this post – mustaman, mu’ahad, and muhaarib.

As stated by the imams of usul, the ruling on interaction with a kafir is dependent on if he is a harbiy or a dhimmi. Imam Sa’ad Ad-Diin Al-Taftazani elucidates very clearly in his magnificent Sharh Al-Maqaasid:

وحكم الكافر بأقسامه من الحربي والذمي

“And the ruling on the kafir is based on his classification from harbiy or dhimmi.”

شرح المقاصد – الإمام سعد الدين التفتازاني

And still furthermore, a Muslim should know the difference between the states of various kafirs:

  1. kafir asliy – the original kafir – this is a person born in a kafir home and raised such by his family.
  2. murtad – the apostate – this is a person who had been a Muslim before, but has now become kafir. A murtad is the extreme worst of all muhaaribeen (those who are actively warring against Islam).
  3. munafiq – this is the person who holds kufr in his heart and works with the kuffaar against Islam and Muslims, but pretends to be Muslim on the outside. He is tough on Islam and Muslims, and compassionate and endearing towards the kuffaar.
  4. zindiq – this is a person who is deluded into thinking that he is a Muslim, but he holds beliefs and values of kufr, denying the basic requirements of Islam. For fiqh-ruling purposes, a zindiq is the same as a munafiq. Munaafiqin and zanadiq are swines in the skins of lambs.

These are extremely difficult times for us. Anything that contradicts the truth is valued, and anything that is the truth is frowned upon. A person who stands his ground for evil and falsehood is appreciated and his “rights” are lobbied for, and yet a person who stands his ground for Islam and the truth, is called as oppressive and evil. For instance, in these times, standing one’s ground to practice and propagate evils like homosexuality and adultery are lauded, while promoting marriage and polygyny are frowned upon.

People who call themselves “Sunni Muslims” and flag bearers of the “Ash’aris” and “Maturidis” and “Hanafis” and “Shafi’iys” and “Hanbalis” and “Malikis” and the noble “Sufis” are working actively and hand in hand with the kuffaar to propagate evil and kufr, and destroy the faiths of Muslims and pull it out of their hearts. They are doing it in the name of “interfaith dialogue” or “da’wah” or “adab” or “akhlaq” and other sweet-sounding words, preying on the masses’ lack of knowledge of texts, taking half-truths and spinning them around and working on fallacies; in addition to outright distortions and lying. Rarely do people come across the complete truth, specially on a medium such as the internet.

With that in mind, it is hoped that in-sha-Allah, any Muslim, who wishes to safeguard his Islam, and wishes to know how to do it and yet also interact with kafirs for worldly or Islamic interests, should find this tract of some value bi-idniLlah.

All rulings are taken from major CLASSICAL & ORTHODOX Hanafi and Shafi’iy fiqh manuals and books of tafsiir and fiqh, that are incontestable. Examples include Hanafi works of masters like Mabsoot, Bahr-ur-Raiq, Fath-ul-Qadeer, Fatawa Tatarkhaniyyah, Fatawa Hindiyyah, Durr-ul-Mukhtar,Radd Al-Muhtaar, tafsiirs like Mafaatiih-ul-Ghayb of Imam Ar-Razi, Jami’ul-Ahkam Al-Quran of Imam Qurtubi and others, and classical Shafi’iy fiqh manuals like Rawdzat At-Talibiin, Asna Al-Matalib, and also Al-Wajiz and Al-Waseet of Imam Al-Ghazali.

Some citations and references are present elsewhere in the blog. Yet others may be asked and solicited from the author. There is no hiding of the truth. Citations and references are only avoided in this piece for the purpose of maintaining the readability of the post, without making it too terse. Barring a very few, most of the rulings presented here are common to ALL FOUR madhhabs of the Ahlus Sunnah – especially any ruling pertaining to apostasy.

The aim of this tract is to group together all the rulings regarding interactions and behavior towards kuffaar in one place, so that Muslims can compare & contrast the rulings for various different situations, and also observe the correct context – all at one place. Often times, it has been noticed that if a ruling is given, a Muslim is simply unable to make logical sense of it and starts to think that the ruling is too lax or too strict. If he is able to compare and contrast it with the rulings for other situations, this will hep him a great deal.

Of course at other times, he is being misguided by munaafiqin pretending to be scholars of Islam who eat away on key points of usul, or who corrupt people’s already correct understanding to a deviant and corrupt understanding.

It is hoped that in-sha-Allah, with this piece, Muslims will at least be able to find the rulings relating to major interactional situations they encounter with kafirs – collated together and observe how Islam is the path of sensibility, and they can then seek references for those rulings or do their own further independent research.

Any suggestions for improvements are welcome from all brothers and sisters of the Ahlus Sunnah.  This is most probably not an exhaustive list of interactions with kafirs. But there was a great need to post rulings regarding the matters that are directly affecting the faiths of Muslims everyday these days. Maybe in the future, another such list or two of the rulings regarding some other interactions with kafirs can be posted.

All Ahlus Sunnah brothers and sisters are also welcome to advise what improvements and additions are needed relating to the rulings on interaction with kafirs and thus a completely exhaustive and comprehensive database can be built.

Reminder – Please digest and remember some of the usuli points and definitions mentioned in this passage, and also in the beginning of the table below, read carefully and comprehend well, connecting all the dots.

Wa-biLLah-it-tawfiiq.

——————————————————————————–

1.  DEFINITIONS & DESCRIPTIONS

dhimmi

The kafir citizens of a Muslim state (Dar al-Islam) who dutifully bow their heads and pay the jizyah.

Jizyah is exempted from some individual kafirs due to their circumstances like old or poor kafirs that are unable to earn, but the social status of the entire citizenry is still dhimmi.

There are no dhimmies in these times. By Quran’s direct commandment, it is OBLIGATORY on Muslim states to charge jizyah to their kafir citizens, but it is not done in these times.

harbiy
mustaman

In reality, those kafirs of kafir states who are visiting or staying temporarily in the Muslim state (Dar al-Islam) and have been granted permission and safety by the rulers – are called mustaman.

However, the kafir citizens of various present day Muslim nations who have kafir citizens but still do not charge jizyah – are also mustaman – as they simply can’t be called dhimmi because to be called dhimmi, they have to pay the jizyah.

A kafir who doesn’t pay the jizyah, is a harbiy. (Plural harbiyyeen/harbiyyoon)

harbiy mu’ahad

The kafir citizens of kafir nations (dar al-harb) where Muslim rulers have entered into a treaty of temporary peace and suspension of combat – for strategic reasons in Islam’s interest.

Muslims living in kafir nations that permit Muslims to live in their lands with geopolitical citizenships or visa agreements, and let them practice Islam – should see the citizenry of the kafir nation as harbiy mu’ahad.

harbiy muharib

The kafir citizens of kafir states (dar al-harb) who are actively engaged in combat and war with Muslims either by their own leaders’ declaration of war or the Muslim rulers’ declaration of war; OR the kafir citizens of those states where Muslim rulers have not entered into any treaty of temporary peace and suspension of combat.

If a Muslim happens to be in such a state which has no treaties and conventions ensuring safety of his life, family, practice of Islam, and property, then he must at once leave such a land for Dar al-Islam.

If dhimmies rebel against the Muslim state, they too would fall under this category of muhaaribeen, and their lives and properties are no longer protected.

Apostates, zanadiq and hypocrites also fall under this category, and they are the WORST of all muharibeen, regardless whether they engage in combat or not, and they have the toughest of all rulings. Rulings pertaining to them are given at the very bottom in item 54.

Any ruling given before that in this table only pertains to dealing with original kafirs, i.e., those people born in kafir families (unless they are expressly mentioned).

2.  CAN A MUSLIM SAY THE ISLAMIC SALAM (AS-SALAMU
‘ALAIKUM) TO THEM?

dhimmi

No. It is forbidden. The Prophet ﷺ explicitly forbade it. They can be responded with “wa’alaykum” only – if they greet Muslims first.

It is forbidden to say the Islamic Salam, even to dhimmies. Therefore, the rulings for the rest of the kuffaar will only be the same or tougher.

Please remember that as a rule with no exceptions, the rulings are only tougher in regards to the harbiyyeen and not lighter than the rulings in regards to the dhimmies.

If something is forbidden even in regards to the dhimmies, then it’s a given that the ruling will only be tougher in regards to the harbiyyeen. Follow this guideline henceforth too.

harbiy
mustaman

harbiy mu’ahad

harbiy muharib

3.  CAN A MUSLIM SAY THE ISLAMIC SALAM TO A MIXED
GATHERING OF MUSLIMS AND KAFIRS?

dhimmi

Yes. It is allowed. It’s obvious that we are only addressing our brothers and sisters in the mixed gathering, and no one else.

harbiy
mustaman

harbiy mu’ahad

harbiy muharib

4.  CAN A MUSLIM ADDRESS THEM WITH HONORABLE
SALUTATIONS LIKE “HIS HOLINESS”, “HIS BEATITUDE”, ETC.?

dhimmi

It is kufr and renders one an apostate – according to ALL FOUR MADHABS of the Ahlus Sunnah.

harbiy
mustaman

harbiy mu’ahad

harbiy muharib

5.  CAN A MUSLIM RESPECT, APPRECIATE, OR PRAISE THEIR RELIGIONS OR AGNOSTIC OR ATHEISTIC BELIEFS?

dhimmi

It is kufr and renders one an apostate – according to ALL FOUR MADHABS of the Ahlus Sunnah.

harbiy
mustaman

harbiy mu’ahad

harbiy muharib

6.  CAN A MUSLIM HOLD SOCIAL DIALOG WITH THEM?

dhimmi

Yes, on any worldly matter of mutual importance, like traffic safety for instance.

harbiy
mustaman

harbiy mu’ahad

harbiy muharib

Not if it is a state of war. If it is not a state of war (i.e., a state with no formal treaty with Muslims), then the same ruling as that for harbiy mu’ahad will apply.

7.  CAN A MUSLIM TALK TO THEM ABOUT THEIR RELIGIONS (OR ATHEISTIC OR AGNOSTIC BELIEFS)?

dhimmi

Only to actively and aggressively refute and negate their rubbish religions (or the rubbish of atheism or agnosticism) with sound proofs that EXCLUSIVELY establish Islam as the truth. This should be done by a scholar of Islam who is well versed with the incontestable proofs that appeal to the sound mind, as well as the narrational proofs of Islam.

harbiy
mustaman

harbiy mu’ahad

harbiy muharib

8.  CAN A MUSLIM LEARN ABOUT THEIR RELIGIONS OR READ THEIR RELIGIOUS BOOKS?

dhimmi

No. It is forbidden and haram for an ordinary person who is not even aware of the details of his/her Ash’ari or Maturidi ‘aqidah, or the fiqh of his worships. Never forget that satan is the greatest enemy and he is always looking for chances to poison people’s minds and hearts and invite them towards kufr, deviance and disobedience.

This also applies to the books of the ahlul bid’ah and zanadiq like the ismailis, the perennialists, the alevis, and also the books of agnostic and atheistic philosophers.

A scholar well-versed in Islamic creed and polemics with the kuffaar can do so for the purpose of refuting their false religions.

harbiy
mustaman

harbiy mu’ahad

harbiy muharib

9.  CAN A MUSLIM BE ACCOMMODATING OF THEIR RELIGION AND THEIR WAYS FOR THE SAKE OF DA’WAH – IF THEY ARE POLITE & REASONABLE, AND NOT HOSTILE TO MUSLIMS?

dhimmi

Question irrelevant to the situation of a TRUE Islamic state as kufr is never accommodated or accepted by Islam. The state would ensure that Muslims do not accommodate or adapt the ways of the kuffaar. See above answers. Honoring of kufr and the kuffaar renders one an apostate.

The slapping of jizyah is not an acceptance or tolerance of their kufr, but rather a fine and a penalization for staying kafir. See the books of tafsiir on verse 9:29 or the works of ANY classical scholar of any madhab.

Even though it grants them protection for their life and property, and lets them practice their religions and live by their religions (without public display of it) – the Jizyah is a penalty – a fine – a punishment – a humiliation – and a prelude to kuffaar’s punishment and humiliation in the hereafter!

At the same time, it is a mercy on the kafirs, so that they feel shame by the humiliation of paying the jizyah and seek out to explore the incontestable proofs of Islam’s truth and perchance save their hereafter.

It is also a mercy on the Muslims as it delivers Allah’s punishment to the kuffaar at their hands.

harbiy
mustaman

Question irrelevant to the situation of a TRUE Islamic state.

For the kafir population of modern Muslim countries, follow the same ruling as that for harbiy mu’ahad below.

harbiy mu’ahad

Islam and kufr are two opposites and part of a zero sum game. The loss of one is the gain of the other.

If their religions and ways are being accommodated, then it is only a fantasy to think that the Muslim is doing da’wah to them.

On the contrary they are the ones who are gaining in on the Muslims if their ways are being accommodated!

Islam is the truth and ALL other religions are falsehood, and people of the truth are NOT accommodating towards falsehood.

If they are accommodating towards Islam, then they are not doing a favor to anyone other than themselves by making way for the truth. Muslims should not be accommodating of their religions and ways even if they are accommodating of Islam.

EVEN IF they wish you a happy Ramadzan, a Muslim should not wish them on christmas. Allah has commanded that Islam be uplifted and kufr be destroyed.

Muslims should not be fooled by the munaafiqiin who pretend to be scholars of Islam who only serve their kafir masters and preach acceptance of kufr.

Not being accommodating towards their religions and ways does not mean that one is impolite or rude.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS DA’WAH BY BEING ACCOMMODATING OR POLITICALLY CORRECT TOWARDS KUFR, READ THE QURAN AND THE SEERAH OF OUR MASTERS AND FATHERS PROPHET MUHAMMAD AND PROPHET IBRAHIIM, ‘ALAIHIMUS SALAM, AND HOW THEY NEVER
COMPROMISED ON ISLAM AND ALWAYS SPOKE THE TRUTH OF ISLAM DESPITE BEING SEVERELY HURT BY THE KUFFAAR.

DESPITE ABU TALIB’S POLITENESS TOWARDS THE PROPHET , THE PROPHET WAS NEVER ACCOMMODATING TOWARDS HIS KUFR & POLYTHEISM. HE ALWAYS UPLIFTED TAWHIID. WHAT IS THE USE OF ISLAM IF IT NEEDS TO ACCOMMODATE KUFR?

harbiy muharib

10.  CAN A MUSLIM BE ACCOMMODATING OF THEIR RELIGION AND THEIR WAYS FOR THE SAKE OF DA’WAH – IF THEY ARE IMPOLITE & UNREASONABLE, AND HOSTILE TO MUSLIMS?

dhimmi

Question irrelevant to a TRUE Islamic state. In such a state, they shall be appropriately penalized for their violating the pact of dhimmah which ensures that they never be hostile to Muslims. The penalizing would depend on the extent of violation of the pact.

harbiy
mustaman

Question irrelevant to a TRUE Islamic state.

For the kafir population of modern Muslim countries, follow the same ruling as that for harbiy mu’ahad below.

harbiy mu’ahad

If their religions and ways are being accommodated, then it is only a fantasy to think that the Muslim is doing da’wah to them.

On the contrary they are the ones who are gaining in on the Muslims if their ways are being accommodated – ESPECIALLY if foolish Muslims are accommodating towards their religion and ways DESPITE their unreasonableness, and their hostility to Islam and Muslims.

Islam is the truth and ALL other religions are falsehood, and people of the truth are NOT accommodating towards falsehood.

Muslims should hold them in maximum contempt, and show them the ugliness of their religions very severely, or in the very least, stay aloof from them.

Muslims should not be fooled by the munaafiqiin who pretend to be scholars of Islam who only serve their kafir masters and preach acceptance of kufr.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS DA’WAH BY BEING  ACCOMMODATING OR POLITICALLY CORRECT TOWARDS KUFR, READ THE QURAN AND THE SEERAH OF OUR MASTERS AND FATHERS PROPHET MUHAMMAD AND PROPHET IBRAHIIM, ‘ALAIHIMUS SALAM, AND HOW THEY NEVER COMPROMISED ON ISLAM AND ALWAYS SPOKE THE TRUTH OF ISLAM DESPITE BEING SEVERELY HURT BY THE KUFFAAR.

harbiy muharib

11.   IS IT OBLIGATORY TO DO DA’WAH TO THEM?

dhimmi

It is only mustahab to do da’wah to someone who has already heard of Prophet Muhammad and his message to worship Allah alone, the One & Only God of everything. It is not obligatory.

It is obligatory to do da’wah to someone who has never heard of the Prophet and his message, although the amount of such people in these times is almost negligible.

harbiy
mustaman

harbiy mu’ahad

harbiy muharib

12.  CAN MUSLIMS LET THEM ENTER OUR MOSQUES FOR DA’WAH?

dhimmi

Yes. This is permissible with varying details between the 4 madhhabs of the Ahlus Sunnah.

harbiy
mustaman

In a true Islamic state, same ruling as dhimmi could be applied in some circumstances, but not in regards to Makkah and Madinah.

For the kafirs living in modern Muslim countries, see the ruling below for harbiy mu’ahad.

harbiy mu’ahad

No. Muslims are not permitted to invite harbiyyeen to our mosques.

Please note that recently, some hypocrites pretending to be connecting seekers to guidance have been lying disgracefully that our master Imam Abu Haniifah’s madhhab allows ANY kafirs, without distinguishing between dhimmi and harbiy, to enter our beloved Holy Cities of Makkah and Madinah. This is simply a lie. Those people are simply hypocrites spreading kufr, zandaqa and nifaaq across borders. Not that their “fatwas” will have any bearing on the actual state of affairs of the blessed Makkah and Madinah.

harbiy muharib

13.  CAN A MUSLIM BEFRIEND THEM?

dhimmi

No. The Quran forbids Muslims to take friends anyone other than believers. See verse 5:51, 3:28, 48:29 and others, along with their classical tafaasiir, and the rulings of classical scholars.

See how severely Imam Al-Ghazali has spoken against this in his Ihya-ul-‘Ulum and the Kiimya-i-Sa’adat.

harbiy
mustaman

harbiy mu’ahad

harbiy muharib

14.  CAN A MUSLIM HONOR THEM THE SAME WAY HE/SHE HONORS HIS/HER BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN ISLAM?

dhimmi

It is kufr and renders one an apostate – according to ALL FOUR MADHABS of the Ahlus Sunnah.

A Muslim should NEVER honor them the same way he/she honors brothers and sisters in Islam.

harbiy
mustaman

harbiy mu’ahad

harbiy muharib

15.  SHOULD A MUSLIM WORK TOWARDS EARNING THEIR RESPECT, ACCOLADES, ACCEPTANCE AND GOOD CHEER?

dhimmi

Only a filthy hypocrite works towards earning the acceptance, respect and good cheer of the kuffaar. See 4:139 and 63:8, and others.

A Muslim is someone who strives to earn Allah’s Ridza.

If someone thinks this will aid in da’wah, he is mistaken. See above answers. In any case, da’wah is about following the example of our Master Prophet Muhammad, and our Prophet Ibrahiim, ‘alaihimus salam, who never worked to earn the good cheer of kafirs. Rather they preached Allah’s truth without any fear, smashed idols, and told the kuffaar that their ways are leading to everlasting hellfire – and they did it despite being tortured by the people they were preaching to.

In fact this is the greatest telling sign of hypocrites of our times. Their desire to seek the honor and good cheer of their kafir masters and then mislead people into thinking that it is being done for da’wah.

A Muslim is compassionate and has affinities towards, and seeks the good cheer of  other Muslims and he is tough towards kafirs. A hypocrite does the exact opposite, namely he is always harsh towards Muslims and looks for ways to express affinities and compassion towards kafirs and seek their good cheer. There are a lot of kafir hypocrites pretending to be ‘scholars of Islam’ in our times.

harbiy
mustaman

harbiy mu’ahad

harbiy muharib

16.  CAN A MUSLIM BE SOFT, KIND AND FORBEARING TOWARDS THEM IF THEY ARE POLITE & REASONABLE, AND NOT HOSTILE TO MUSLIMS AND ACCOMMODATING TOWARDS KNOWING MORE ABOUT ISLAM?

dhimmi

Yes.

Application of the ruling in verse 60:8 and some other verses like it is meant for this situation. This must be done WITHOUT the Muslim humbling himself/herself before them or treating them with the honor one treats his/her brothers and sisters in Islam. The Muslim’s softness, kindness and forbearance in such a situation must be similar to the kindness and softness a king shows a homeless bum.

harbiy
mustaman

Yes only for the purpose of calling them to Islam. As the general rule stated above – this must be done WITHOUT the Muslim humbling himself/herself before them or treating them with the honor one treats his/her brothers and sisters in Islam. The Muslim’s softness, kindness and forbearance in such a situation must be similar to the kindness and softness a king shows a homeless bum.

Not otherwise. There are no rewards in any gestures or kindness to harbiyyeen. This is not to say that Muslims must be rude or mean or do injustice against them. We must just mind our own business and ‘act professionally’ to use a modern workplace phrase.

harbiy mu’ahad

harbiy muharib

Question irrelevant to a state of war. If it is not a state of war, same ruling as that for the harbiy mu’ahad applies.

17.  CAN A MUSLIM BE SOFT, KIND & FORBEARING TO THEM IF THEY ARE IMPOLITE & UNREASONABLE, AND HOSTILE TOWARDS MUSLIMS?

dhimmi

Question irrelevant to a TRUE Islamic state. In such a state, they shall be appropriately penalized for their violating the pact of dhimmah which ensures that they never be hostile to Muslims. The penalizing would depend on the extent of violation of the pact.

harbiy
mustaman

Of course not. Muslims should hold them in maximum contempt and treat them in the harshest manner possible, and show them the ugliness of their religions and lives very severely, or in the very least, stay aloof from them.

harbiy mu’ahad

harbiy muharib

18.  CAN A MUSLIM PRAY FOR THEIR DEAD TO BE FORGIVEN OR TO BE ADMITTED TO PARADISE?

dhimmi

It is explicitly forbidden in the Quran (9:84); IN ADDITION to stating that Allah will NEVER forgive a person who died disbelieving in Islam (3:85, 3:91, 4:48, 68:35, 98:6 and more). Anyone who prays for their dead to be forgiven, or shown mercy, or to be admitted to paradise is falsifying Allah’s promise and belying the Quran and waging war against it and such an act renders one a filthy apostate.

harbiy
mustaman

harbiy mu’ahad

harbiy muharib

19.  CAN A MUSLIM CONSOLE THE INFIDEL’S RELATIVES ON THEIR DEATHS?

dhimmi

Yes, without praying for the dead kafir, without praying for his kafir survivors to be rewarded by Allah, and without respecting their religion or witnessing any of their religious rituals.

harbiy
mustaman

Same ruling as that for a dhimmi could be applied in a TRUE Islamic state.

In modern Muslim countries, where the kuffaar citizens hate Islam and actively work to hurt Islam, it is NOT allowed.

harbiy mu’ahad

No. There is no reward in any act of kindness to a harbiy.

harbiy muharib

Question irrelevant to a proper state of war. If it is not a state of war, this is still not allowed; as mentioned above, there is no reward in any act of kindness to a harbiy.

20.  CAN A MUSLIM ATTEND THEIR FUNERALS?

dhimmi

ONLY in case of parents or immediate family or neighbor and then too, ONLY the actual burial or cremation and not the kuffaar’s ritualistic mass, prayers, chants etc. It is only a permission to give one’s worldly relationship its closure.

harbiy
mustaman

harbiy mu’ahad

ONLY in case of parents or immediate family and then too, if they were not hostile to Muslims – ONLY the actual burial or cremation and not the kuffaar’s ritualistic mass, prayers, chants etc. It is only a permission to give one’s worldly relationship its closure.

Not allowed for those parents & immediate relatives who were hostile to Muslims, as it would be sympathizing with their hostility to Muslims.

Strictly forbidden for apostates.

harbiy muharib

21.  CAN A MUSLIM PRAY TO ALLAH TO GIVE THEM HEALTH, OR CHILDREN IN THIS WORLD?

dhimmi

Yes IF they have done something nice for the Muslim. The better thing to do is to pray to Allah that they are guided to Islam.

harbiy
mustaman

No.

It is only permitted to pray to Allah to guide them to Islam.

harbiy mu’ahad

harbiy muharib

22.  CAN A MUSLIM PRAY TO ALLAH TO HAVE MERCY ON THEM OR THEIR DEAD?

dhimmi

Just as invoking Allah’s Mercy on their dead is forbidden (it is kufr), so it is forbidden on their living as well.

As mentioned, if someone does something nice for a Muslim, the Muslim can pray for worldly benefits for him like good health. One should also pray to Allah that they are guided to Islam.

harbiy
mustaman

Just as invoking Allah’s Mercy on their dead is forbidden (it is kufr), so it is forbidden on their living as well.

It is not allowed to pray for them to have any worldly benefit.

It is only allowed to pray to Allah that they are guided to Islam.

harbiy mu’ahad

harbiy muharib

23.  CAN A MUSLIM ASK ALLAH TO CURSE THE KUFFAAR IN GENERAL AND TO TORMENT AND PUNISH THEM FOR THEIR REFUSAL TO ACCEPT ISLAM BY ACCEPTING PROPHET MUHAMMAD  AS ALLAH’S LAST MESSENGER?

dhimmi

Yes indeed. It is Sunnah of the Prophet and his companions.

Allah’s curse on them is pronounced in the Quran too.

Those munafiq swines pretending to be scholars of Islam, who are annoyed at duas of damnation upon the kuffaar  – will they also forbid Muslims from reading the Quran too, as the Quran pronounces Allah’s damnation upon kafirs; and will they also forbid Muslims from repeating the duas of our Master Rasulullah and his blessed companions, which explicitly pronounce damnation upon the ahl al-kitab? Will they also forbid us from reading the surah Fatihah?

In these times of munaafiqiin pretending to be scholars of Islam and preaching subservience to the kuffaar and the kuffaar actively and brazenly trying to hurt Islam and Muslims, ONLY these kind of duas invoking Allah’s curse and damnation upon the kuffaar should be made to appeal to Allah to send His help against this war on Islam, and also so that the munaafiqiin will be exposed when they will be visibly annoyed when Muslims pray against their kafir brothers and sisters!

harbiy
mustaman

harbiy mu’ahad

harbiy muharib

24.  CAN A MUSLIM ASK ALLAH TO REWARD THEM IN THIS WORLD OR THE HEREAFTER FOR ANY OF THEIR DEEDS?

dhimmi

The Quran says EXPLICITLY that NO DEED of a kafir is worthy in front of Allah (9:69). Deeds are worthy only if one embraces Islam. Praying to Allah to reward a kafir for his good deeds is war against the Quran and kufr.

harbiy
mustaman

harbiy mu’ahad

harbiy muharib

25.  CAN A MUSLIM ASK THEM FOR THEIR PRAYERS?

dhimmi

It is open antagonism against the Quran and kufr. The Quran says in two different places (13:14 & 40:50) that the duas of kafirs are nothing but waste!

26.  CAN A MUSLIM MAN MARRY AHL AL-KITAB (CHRISTIAN OR JEW) WOMEN?

dhimmi

Yes it is permitted even though disliked.

harbiy
mustaman

Yes it is permitted even though disliked, IF the woman settles down in the Muslim land. It is haram for the man to marry her and then migrate to dar al-harb. This is the ruling for a TRUE Islamic state.

For Muslims living in modern states, see the ruling below.

harbiy mu’ahad

It is haram to marry a kitabiyyah harbiyyah (a harbiy ahl al-kitab woman) and it is severely hurtful to the strategic interests of Islam and the Muslim community.

harbiy muharib

27.  CAN A MUSLIM MAN MARRY A KAFIR WOMAN WHO IS NOT AHL AL-KITAB?

dhimmi

No, it is haram. If someone believes it to be permitted, he leaves the fold of Islam for believing against the Quran’s & Prophetic Sunnah’s commands and permissions.

Of all the kafir and mushrik women, the Quran and Sunnah ONLY permit marriage to ahl al-kitab women, and that too is disliked. The Quran says that a believing slave is better than an infidel.

28.  CAN A MUSLIM WOMAN MARRY A KAFIR MAN, AHL AL-KITAB (CHRISTIAN OR JEW) OR OTHERWISE?

dhimmi

A Muslim woman’s husband is the imam of her family and her guardian. It is kufr according to ALL FOUR MADHAB’s of Ahlus  Sunnah to accord a kafir such an honorable status. A Muslim woman becomes an apostate as soon as she merely decides in her heart to make a kafir her husband and the imam of her life!

29.  CAN A MUSLIM EAT THE MEAT SLAUGHTERED BY AHL AL-KITAB (CHRISTIANS AND JEWS)?

30.  CAN A MUSLIM WOMAN OPEN HER HIJAB IN FRONT OF THEIR WOMEN FOLK (AHL AL-KITAB OR OTHERWISE)?

dhimmi

NO – It is HARAM according to ALL FOUR MADHHAB’s of the Ahlus Sunnah.

Our master ‘Umar, radzi Allahu ‘anhu, forbade dhimmi christian and jew women from entering any public meeting place of Muslim women where they removed their hijabs in front of their sisters in Islam. The verse 33:55 says that believing women can show their beauty only in front of THEIR OWN women (and of course their fathers, husbands, brothers and mahrams).

harbiy
mustaman

harbiy mu’ahad

Yes if no other Muslim is found for the job; or if the job is of a lowly status like cleaning toilets, shoe-shine boy etc. OR if the Muslim needs to avoid any legal trouble with the kafir nation’s authorities and safeguard his and the Muslim community’s strategic Islamic or worldly objectives.

harbiy muharib

Question irrelevant to an actual state of war. If it is not an actual state of war, see answer for harbiy mu’ahad above.

32.  CAN A MUSLIM HIRE THEM IN A SENIOR POSITION WHERE ANOTHER MUSLIM WOULD REPORT TO THEM AND BE UNDER THEIR AUTHORITY?

dhimmi

No. It is haram and a major sin according to ALL FOUR schools of the Ahlus Sunnah.

harbiy
mustaman

harbiy mu’ahad

Only permitted if the Muslim needs to avoid any legal trouble with the kafir nation’s authorities and safeguard his and the Muslim community’s strategic Islamic or worldly objectives.

harbiy muharib

Questionirrelevant to an actual state of war. If it is not an actual state of war, see answer for harbiy mu’ahad above.

33.  CAN A MUSLIM WAIT ON THEM LIKE WORKING AS A WAITER OR CLEANER OR BUTLER OR NANNY TO KUFFAR’S CHILDREN, ETC?

dhimmi

Question irrelevant. Situation won’t arise in a Muslim state. It is a severe haram as stated above.

harbiy
mustaman

Situation won’t arise in a TRUE Muslim state.

In many modern day puppet states, this will take the ruling of haram. The Muslim must find another job.

If he has to wait on people, it MUST be MUSLIMS.

harbiy mu’ahad

It is haram. If a Muslim can’t find any other job, he should migrate to a Muslim country (Dar al-Islam), or if not possible, try his best to look for another job or be self employed as soon as he possibly can.

harbiy muharib

Question irrelevant to an actual state of war. If it is not an actual state of war, see answer for harbiy mu’ahad above.

34.  CAN A MUSLIM WORK IN ANOTHER JOB SUCH AS ACCOUNTANT, DELIVERY DRIVER, DOCTOR, ETC. WHERE HE OR SHE REPORTS TO A KAFIR IN A SENIOR POSITION?

dhimmi

Question irrelevant. Situation won’t arise in a Muslim state. As stated above, it is not allowed to grant kafirs authority above Muslims, in any capacity.

harbiy
mustaman

Situation won’t arise in a TRUE Islamic state.

In modern Muslim populated countries, the Muslim should try his best to seek a job where he reports to Muslims.

harbiy mu’ahad

It is permitted if it serves the strategic Islamic or worldly interests of the Muslim or his Muslim community. For example, Muslim lawyers and Muslim female doctors are needed by the community. If a Muslim can become self employed, it would be even better.

harbiy muharib

Question irrelevant to an actual state of war. If it is not an actual state of war, see answer for harbiy mu’ahad above.

35.  CAN AMUSLIM GIVE THEM ZAKAT?

dhimmi

No. Zakat is only meant for Muslim poor. All four madhabs rule it haram to give zakat to dhimmis.

harbiy

No. Zakat is only meant for Muslim poor. All four madhabs rule it haram to give zakat to dhimmis. The ruling for harbiyyeen is only more severe, as stated above.

harbiy mu’ahad

harbiy muharib

36.  CAN A MUSLIM GIVE THEM OTHER CHARITIES THAT ARE NOT ZAKAT?

dhimmi

Yes, charities other than zakat are allowed to be given to dhimmies.

harbiy
mustaman

Can be treated the same as a dhimmi – for a TRUE Islamic state.

In modern Muslim states where the kafir citizens are boldly anti-Islamic, this is not allowed.

However, if it serves a strategic Islamic or worldly purpose for Muslims, like for example profitable tax rebates, then one can do this with the intention of strategic positioning of one’s wealth.

harbiy mu’ahad

It is not allowed. The fiqh maxim is that there is no reward in any act of kindness to a harbiy.

However, if it serves a strategic Islamic or worldly purpose for Muslims, like for example profitable tax rebates, then one can do this with the intention of strategic positioning of one’s wealth.

harbiy muharib

Question irrelevant to an actual state of war. If it is not an actual state of war, see answer for harbiy mu’ahad above.

37.  IS A MUSLIM OBLIGATED TO ACCEPT THEIR INVITATIONS TO THEIR WEDDINGS, NON-RELIGIOUS GATHERINGS ETC?

dhimmi

No, it is not obligatory for a Muslim to accept a dhimmi’s invitation for dinner, weddings, etc. It is up to the Muslim to accept or reject it, and if alcohol and haram meat is served, he should reject.

harbiy
mustaman

Same as the ruling for dhimmies above.

harbiy mu’ahad

Not allowed to accept it, unless one goes for the purpose of teaching them about Islam and negating and refuting their false religions.

harbiy muharib

38.  CAN A MUSLIM ENGAGE IN BUSINESS TRANSACTIONS WITH THEM?

dhimmi

Yes, as long as the business transaction is allowed by Islam in and of itself, and also not hurtful to the interests of Islam and Muslims at an applied level.

harbiy
mustaman

Yes, as long as the business transaction is allowed by Islam in and of itself, and also not hurtful to the interests of Islam and Muslims at an applied level, especially the strategic and tactical interests of Islam and Muslims.

harbiy mu’ahad

39.  CAN A MUSLIM UPHOLD THE BONDS OF THE FAMILY WITH KAFIR PARENTS AND SIBLINGS AND TREAT THEM KINDLY IF THEY ARE POLITE & REASONABLE PEOPLE, NOT HOSTILE TO MUSLIMS & ACCOMMODATING TOWARDS KNOWING MORE ABOUT ISLAM?

dhimmi

Yes indeed provided that a Muslim does not obey the parents in any matter contravening Islamic law (like consuming alcohol) and of course most importantly, does not compromise on his Islamic faith itself doing this, by falling into kufr or acceptance or accommodation of it. Verses like verse 60:8, 31:14 and 17:23 apply in this situation.

harbiy
mustaman

This must be done with a sincere intention and concern for da’wah so that they may save their hereafter. See also answer 16.

harbiy mu’ahad

harbiy muharib

In an actual state of war, the Islamic rules of combat must be followed, and a Muslim must strike ANY kafir who is fighting with Muslims – EVEN A PARENT OR BROTHER. Not being hostile would mean that they are not combatants against Muslims.

If not a state of war, see ruling above for harbiy mu’ahad.

40.  CAN A MUSLIM SEEK THE ACCEPTANCE AND GOOD CHEER OF KAFIR PARENTS IF THEY ARE IMPOLITE & UNREASONABLE, AND HOSTILE TO ISLAM & MUSLIMS?

dhimmi

Situation won’t arise in a true Islamic state, lest the hostile dhimmis want to go to war against the state. In any case, they should be abandoned and reported to the authorities. See verses 58:22, 9:23 and 9:24.

harbiy
mustaman

No. They should be abandoned. See verses 58:22, 9:23 and 9:24.

Also see 4:139 and 63:8. Only hypocrites seek the acceptance of kuffaar. Islam permits being gentle to kafir parents, but not at the expense of deen and ghayrah towards it and the ummah.

For the muhaaribeen in a state of war, the Islamic rules of combat must be followed, and a Muslim must strike ANY kafir who is fighting with Muslims – EVEN A PARENT OR BROTHER. If it isn’t a state of war, they must still be abandoned.

harbiy mu’ahad

41.  CAN A MUSLIM BE ACCOMMODATING TOWARDS THE FALSE RELIGION OF ONES KAFIR PARENTS OR FAMILY AS A SPECIAL CASE?

dhimmi

Same as answer 9 regarding dhimmies; along with answer 10 regarding dhimmies.

harbiy
mustaman

If they are polite & reasonable people and not hostile to Muslims, Muslims should not be rude or mean towards them for the sake of doing da’wah to them and trying to help them save their hereafter, as mentioned in answer 39 above; but still they are NEVER allowed to be accommodating towards the false religions and the ways of kafirs, even if parents or siblings. There is NO EXCEPTION in this case.

Our Master RasulAllah  was never accommodating towards kufr, be it for members of his family or anyone else.

It is just as much kufr if one participates in easter celebrations with kafir parents, as it would be for any random kafir, for instance.

Standing one’s ground and not going against one’s principles, more so religion itself, is not being rude or mean. In most cases in these times, those same kafir parents for instance would never consider it mean or rude, if the son or daughter stood his ground to choose a career that makes him/her happy or marry a person of his/her choice or even chose to be a homosexual.

Then why should it be construed as being mean or rude, when a Muslim stands his/her ground in matters of faith, which are far more serious, and issues on which one’s salvation depends?

If such parents and family consider it rude or impolite to stand one’s ground, then in reality they are the worst kind of those hostile to Islam & Muslims, they are being manipulative and using their status as family to call the Muslim to kufr.

If they are mean, impolite fools and hostile to Muslims, see answer 40 above.

harbiy muharib

42.  CAN A MUSLIM PRAY FOR DEAD KAFIR PARENTS TO BE ADMITTED TO PARADISE – REGARDLESS WHETHER THEY WERE POLITE & REASONABLE OR HOSTILE TO MUSLIMS OR NOT?

dhimmi

No. The commandments of the Quran forbidding this (as mentioned above) are in relation to ALL kafirs. EVEN THE PROPHET* ﷺ & SAHABA did not do this. The parents of any modern Muslim, born or converted, are not special. A kafir is a kafir.

RELIGION COMES BEFORE RELATIONSHIPS FOR MUSLIMS.

*The parents of our Master RasulAllah ﷺ were Muslims. Verses of the Quran were revealed telling the Prophet and Muslims not to pray for dead kafirs and despite the fact that his uncle abu talib was the kafir most polite to him, the Prophet did not pray for him complying to Allah’s command in the verse that was revealed.

Same as answer 17 regarding harbiyyeen.

If the neighbor displays hostility to Islam and Muslims, for example, by actions like slyly passing comments supporting disparaging remarks against our Master Rasulullah ﷺ to be published OR expressing support for wars of tyranny and aggression that are going on against Muslims OR other similar acts/sayings displaying his ruthless hostility to our Master Rasulullah , or Islam or Muslims – then the Muslim should NEVER display any courteousness to the kafir neighbor in any matter.

If such a kafir neighbor’s house catches fire, the Muslim must call the fire brigade NOT with the intention of courteousness to the kafir, BUT RATHER with the intention of preventing the fire from spreading to his own house, sincerely praying to Allah in his heart that the kafir not make it out of the fire!

53.  GENERAL SUMMARY GUIDELINES

dhimmi

A dhimmi’s life and property is protected, and it is forbidden for Muslims to commit any injustice to them. Muslims are permitted to treat them kindly, especially in worldly matters, without honoring their religions or honoring them as we honor our brothers and sisters in Islam.

The analogy of a Muslim’s kind treatment to a dhimmi is that of a king’s kind treatment to a beggar.

They are penalized by the Dar al-Islam if they breach their pact and work against Muslims or Islam.

Furthermore, Muslims should note that the lightest of all rulings in regards to Muslim-kafir interaction, are those that relate to dhimmies.

The rulings in regards to Muslim-kafir interaction involving kafir harbiy are only tougher.

harbiy
mustaman

In an Islamic state that truly implements the Shari’ah, rulings pertaining to a mustaman are similar to those for a dhimmi, for the most part. He will be obligated to pay the jizyah if he has stayed in the Islamic state for a year.

The kafir citizens of modern Muslim states can ONLY be deemed to be mustaman, since jizyah is not charged anywhere in the world these days. Payment of the jizyah is a condition to be ruled a dhimmi. In many cases, most of such people are plotting with the kuffaar against the Muslim state and its citizens. So in many cases the Muslim must follow the rulings pertaining to harbiy mu’ahad, while interacting with them.

harbiy mu’ahad

If Muslim rulers have a treaty or protocol of engagement with a dar al-harb, then a Muslim is bound by the terms and conditions of such a treaty or protocol, like visa and citizenship agreements.

It is not allowed for Muslims to take senseless measures that will jeopardize the safety and security of their families, other Muslims and themselves and put themselves and the Muslim community in a position of vulnerability in front of the kuffaar – like for example, unilaterally declaring “wars” from their garages or acting as vigilantes against drug traffickers and homosexuals.

This also does not mean that Muslims must be accommodating of the kuffaar’s religions and customs. They should just mind their own business, and deal with people evenhandedly and professionally for worldly matters like trade transactions – with the kuffaar who are not hostile to Muslims.

They can indeed be nice to such people (non-hostile kuffaar) for the sake of da’wah without humbling themselves before the kuffaar. The same analogy of a king’s compassion to a poor homeless bum applies here too. Muslims should NEVER put themselves in a humbled position before the kuffaar, like opening doors for them, honoring their religions and religious symbols, books, artifacts and festivities or working as waiters or street cleaners for them.

Unfortunately, in our times, a good majority of the so-called “qualified scholars of Islam” are no different than a dog panting in front of his master – in their interactions with the kuffaar. In fact even many kuffaar are disgusted by such people’s complete and utter lack of any self respect and integrity. Such is the fate of the munaafiqiin!

With the kuffaar who are hostile towards Muslims, Muslims must hold them in maximum possible contempt and be as harsh and ruthless upon them, as much as they possibly can be while staying within the legal terms of the treaties and protocols of engagement.

If a Muslim feels that his life, family, freedom to practice Islam, and property are endangered or restricted in a certain place, it is fardz ‘ayn (personal obligation) for him to either migrate to a place where these will be protected – for example, migrate from a hostile redneck country town to a large city with a major Muslim population – OR if there is no such place in the land where these will be protected, he should migrate to a Dar al-Islam.

harbiy muharib

In an actual state of war, a Muslim must follow the Islamic rules of combat. If it is a state with no treaties and protocols of engagement with Muslims or a Muslim has limited to no assurance of safety for his life, property and the practice of Islam, he MUST leave it AS URGENTLY AS HE CAN, towards Dar al-Islam.

Wars are declared and treaties are enacted by the rulers of Muslims, not unilaterally by individuals.

apostates, zanadiq, and munafiqiin are the absolute worst of all muhaaribeen.

54.  RULINGSRELATED TO APOSTATES, ZANADIQ & HYPOCRITES

In an Islamic
State

In an Islamic state, an apostate or zindiq or hypocrite will be executed (women apostates will be imprisoned for life).

In a kafir state with treaties & conventions with Muslims and Muslims are free to practice their religion but Islamic law is not the governing law

The rulings mentioned above in regards to any softness or forbearance or permissions to attend funerals and so on – only apply to original kafirs (kafir asliy), that is, those people born in kafir homes.

While Muslims are not in a position to implement Islamic law in such states and execute or imprison apostates, zanadiq and hypocrites, they should cut ALL ties and socially boycott apostates at ALL personal and social levels that they possibly can.

Muslims should not as much as look kindly or offer a greeting, shake hands, conduct business with, or talk to apostates, zanadiq and hypocrites, except in situations where they have no other option remaining than to do so (i.e., interact with the apostate / munafiq / zindiq) in order to comply with the legal covenant they have with the kafir state.

Parents, sons, daughters, siblings, and neighbors are NOT exceptions. apostates, zanadiq & munafiqiin deserve complete disrespect, scorn, contempt, and abandonment of all ties – EVEN IF they are one’s parents or sons or daughters or siblings or neighbors.

A MUSLIM MUST HATE THEM AND CONSIDER THEM AS HIS/HER ARCH-ENEMIES.

In a state of actual war
between Muslims and kafirs

Obviously since hypocrites and apostates are the absolute worst of those at war against Islam and Muslims, the Muslim will follow the Islamic rules for wars.

Allah knows best and we thank Allah for His Mercy in helping us complete this tract. Please read the Fatihah for our Master RasulAllah, his companions and ahlul bayt, and the souls of the scholars of Ahlus Sunnah who have helped illuminate our lives with knowledge.

Was-Salam.

    assalam alaik.
i am thinking of using your entry for my assignment. can you kindly state your brief biography? like how many years you have involved in dakwah, your education, career etc that may convinve the others that this entry can be trusted and has been written by someone who have the qualification. and I need your full name too. jazakallahu khairan

      Wa’alaykum salam.

My biography is unimportant and irrelevant. In this day and age when ‘religious leaders’ are cheered like pop stars and indeed when so many so-called ‘Islamic scholars’ crave money and fame just like them, one should stay away from biography of contemporary personalities.

As for the trust regarding this entry, indeed it is very important. I welcome you to solicit evidences and proofs from the Quran, Hadiith, and the words of the pious mujtahid masters of the ummah, from me or anyone else.

Many of the evidences regarding the entries in this post are present in the other posts of this blog. If you can’t find any, you are very welcome to ask and cross question it till your heart is satisfied. Islam is based on open evidences; and the legacy left by our elders, the shining stars of the ummah, indeed greatly welcome cross-questioning and the seeking of evidences. In these times, the satans pretending to be ‘scholars of Islam’ consider it below their pride to be cross-questioned or frown when they are refuted with strong evidences.

I welcome you to seek any evidence or to cross question or refute any entry with sound evidences. There is no hiding from the truthful knowledge of Islam.

Hope that makes sense to you.

      Was-salam.

i think it’s not wrong to cheer muslim scholars..well,,it’s much better than cheering artists. anyway, I think your view is quite syadid. for instance, for question no.13. in surah mumtahinah Allah said,

Allah forbids you not, with regard to those who fight you not for (your) Faith nor drive you out of your homes, from dealing kindly and justly with them: for Allah love those who are just.

actually my task is to explain why muslim should be kind towards non muslim. but when i read your entry, most of your views sounds like we are barely allowed to be friend with non muslim. if I use your opinion, it would be a big problem for me because I’m from Malaysia, a country with a lot non muslim. (sorry for my bad english. still learning)

Your task itself is flawed and wrong. You should find a new task – to explain that Muslims must be kind among each other, and syadid with kuffaar. Your new task should be to negate, refute, annihilate, and destroy the filthy religions of kafirs and uplift and establish Islam only, as Islam is THE ONLY true religion, and THE ONLY religion acceptable to Allah.

The verse that you quoted from Surah Al-Mumtahinah (60:8) is abrogated by the Verses of Qitaal. It’s application is restricted to dhimmis and dhimmi parents. Very sadly, that verse is misquoted by hypocrites who claim to be Muslim scholars, and then the innocent masses of people like you and your students are misled. May Allah protect you and us from the evil of kafir-hypocrites who pretend to be Muslim scholars.

This is not my hunch, but rather a statement of fact stated by our Master Rasulullah ﷺ himself.

One of the worst things that our Master Rasulullah ﷺ feared for us was the filthy kafirs pretending to be Muslim (i.e., munaafiqiin) who debate using the Quran, giving wrong interpretations to people and misguiding them. (See hadith above)

We are NOT allowed to be unjust to kafirs or to cheat them. We MUST uphold justice at all times and places.

That does not mean that we can keep kafir friends or be soft towards kafirs. We are NOT allowed to have kafir friends. We are allowed to be soft in SOME cases towards dhimmis but not towards harbiy kafirs. This is the deen as taught by classical and orthodox scholars.

You must see properly the difference between – 1) upholding justice 2) soft behavior 3) affinities and friendships

Item 1 – Upholding justice – It is WAJIB with all people, Muslim or kafir, at all times and places.

Item 2 – Soft and compassionate behavior – It is ALLOWED towards dhimmi-kafirs in some cases along with dhimmi parents (your quoted verse 60:8 refers to this situation of soft behavior to dhimmis), to get an idea of this soft behaviour, think of yourself handing out some spare change to a crippled beggar on the streets. This soft and compassionate behavior is FORBIDDEN towards harbiy kafirs in all cases.

Item 3 – Maintaining friendships and affinities with kafirs , admiring them, behaving with them as one behaves with one’s Muslim brothers and sisters – This is FORBIDDEN towards ALL kafirs, dhimmi or harbiy, at all times and places.

See Imam Ghazali’s words forbidding friendships with kafirs here – https://iloveimamrabbani.wordpress.com/2011/05/25/friendships-with-kafirs-are-haram-sinful-imam-ghazali/

See the rulings pertaining to verse 5:51 here – https://iloveimamrabbani.wordpress.com/2011/07/31/verse-551-muslims-are-forbidden-to-befriend-kafirs/

We are SUPPOSED to be syadid to kafirs because they do not accept Allah as the One & Only True God of everything and our Master Muhammad ﷺ as His Last Prophet & Messenger. The Quran says

        مُّحَمَّدٌ رَّسُولُ اللَّهِ ۚ وَالَّذِينَ مَعَهُ أَشِدَّاءُ عَلَى الْكُفَّارِ رُحَمَاءُ بَيْنَهُمْ

Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and the people with him are syadid upon the kafirs and compassionate among themselves. (48:29)

See for example the verse 24:31, which states clearly that there is NO SISTERHOOD between Muslim & kafir women – https://iloveimamrabbani.wordpress.com/2013/07/19/verse-2431-muslim-women-must-observe-hijab-from-kafir-women/

In-sha-Allah I shall quote a classical Sunni-Sufi tafsiir of the verse you mentioned (60:8), very shortly. The reason I let your comment through is because you seem like a genuine person.

In case you are genuine, I hope that helps you in-sha-Allah.

An dumb friend is far worse than an intelligent and honest enemy (such as yourself). It seems from your comment that perhaps you’re a person who can read and digest the whole post, rather than skimming through or reading the headline.

Of course we belong to two opposite camps and I have no desire to live in Europe mingling with your people and assimilating into your life and traditions. If I ever want to live there, it would be to propagate Islam there.

Out of curiosity, what specifically caused you anxiety?

    As Salamu Alaykum

According to the definition from fiqh dar ul-islam is a land where the islamic law is enforced. When the islamic law is not enforced anymore the land becomes dar ul-harb. What did you therefore mean by this statement:

“For example, modern Turkey or Indonesia would STILL be called Dar al-Islam, EVEN THOUGH the Shari’ah is not implemented there (or not in its entirety).”?

      Waleykum Salam

The hukm is always issued [by jurists] on the side that uplifts Islam. If Islamic laws are even partially implemented, and sha’aairil Islam are overwhelmingly prominent in a land, it will still be ruled Dar al-Islam. This is according to Hanafi jurists.

Please bring forward your definitions and references (and I too will bring mine) and then we can discuss this topic more or agree to disagree if there are disagreements between madhahib. Please just remember, we need references from classical Sunni scholarship of any madhhab.

        October 27, 2013 at 4:32 pm

The hanafi scholars have conditions for a dar ul islam becoming dar ul-harb and vice versa. Ibn Abidin says:

“Dar ul islam does not become dar ul harb except (in three cases): By enforcing of the Ahkam of Ahli Shirk, by bordering to (another) dar ul harb and when no muslim or dhimmy remains in it by his first contract of safety. Dar ul harb becomes dar ul islam by enforcing the Ahkam of Ahl ul islam (like the Juma’ah and ‘Id prayer) even if a kafir asly is left and if it does not border another dar ul islam.”

So we see that there are three conditions for dar ul islam becoming dar ul harb and only one for the other case. Ibn Abidin remarks that ahkam of islam for example are the Jumah and Id prayer. This might be irritating but do not forget that one of the conditions for Jumah and Id is the approval of the ruler. In the case that there is no ruler then there is a wali who has not all competences he needs as a ruler. Only by the existence of a wali jumah can be prayed and only then this land can be dar ul islam. If the muslims do not have a wali then the wali is a kafir. In this case the land becomes dar ul harb.

Ibn Abidin has written in his footnotes about three types of capturing of a muslim land: by harbis, by apostates and by people of dhimma who break their covenant. He concludes that the mere capturing of the land by these three does not make it dar ul harb except with the three shurut.

When we look at Turkey we see that it has been captured by murtadeen. It did border to dar ul harb and the covenant of security for muslims and dhimmis was broken. Please understand the second shart. It may seem banal but it is means that a land which is captured and surrounded my islamic lands can never be dar ul harb since it has no strategical significance. It would be like the Vatican state or Lesotho. Both are surrounded from all sides by other countries (Italy and South Africa). In the case of war they are not relevant. But when a captured land is bordering dar ul harb then the borders can easily shift and the security of the muslims is in danger by these borders.

Of course this is a complicated issue and I am no scholar. So my reasoning in itself would not be enough as a proof. But I have based my conclusion on the fatwa of our great Shaykh ul Islam Mustafa Sabri Efendi. He was the last but two mufti of the ottoman empire. He said that Turkey is not dar ul islam and made takfir of it’s leaders.

My dear brother, jazak Allah for your comment and sorry for my late reply.

In regards to your comment, please note the following:

        1) Tahtawi’s marginalia on Durr Al-Mukhtar states:

قوله باجراء احکام اهل الشرک ای علی الاشتهار وان لایحکم فيها بحکم اهل الاسلام

By his saying “implementing the rules of the infidels” it refers to openly implementing the ahkam of shirk and not being ruled by the people of Islam*

        * – in its entirety, that is Islamic law becoming completely suspended.

        2) It says in Jami’ Ar-Ramooz

لاخلاف ان دارالحرب تصیردارالاسلام باجراء بعض احکام الاسلام فيها

There is no disagreement that a dar al-harb becomes Dar Al-Islam by implementation of [even] some rules of Islam in it.

        3) The same book quotes Shaykh Al-Islam Al-Asbijabi:

الدارمحکومة بدارالاسلام ببقاء حکم واحد فيها

A land will be ruled Dar Al-Islam even if one rule of Islam is still implemented there…

        4) The same Shaykh Al-Islam is further quoted talking about the trials and afflictions in his own land, as saying:

فالاحتیاط یجعل هذه البلاد دارالاسلام والمسلمین وان کانت للملاعین والید فی الظاهر لهؤلاء الشیاطین ربنا لاتجعلنا فتنة للقوم الظلمین ونجنا برحمتک من القوم الکٰفرین

And the safe [option] is that these lands are Dar Al-Islam wal Muslimeen; even if apparently it is occupied by devils. Our Lord! Do not render us a fitnah for the transgressors and rid us from kafirs, by Your Mercy…

        5) The ِAl-Durr Al-Muntaqa of the author of Durr Al-Mukhtar, Imam Al-Haskafi, states:

دارالحرب تصیر دارالاسلام باجراء بعض احکام الاسلام

Dar al-harb becomes Dar Al-Islam by implementing [just] some of the rules of Islam.

If implementation of only a few rules of Islam makes dar al-harb as Dar al-Islam, then obviously the loss of some rules of Islam will also not make Dar al-Islam a dar al-harb.

        6) It says in Fusuul Al-‘Imadiyyah:

ان دارالاسلام لایصیر دارالحرب اذابقی شیئ من احکام الاسلام وان زال غلبة اهل الاسلام وعن منثور الامام ناصرالدین دارالاسلام انما صارت دارالاسلام باجراء الاحکام فمابقیت علقة من علائق الاسلام یترجح جانب الاسلام

Dar Al-Islam does not become dar al-harb if something remains in it from the ahkam of Islam, even if the domination fo the ahl al-Islam (Muslims) declines; and it is stated from Imam Naasir Al-Diin’s Manthuur, Dar al-Islam only becomes Dar Al-Islam by the implementation of the ahkam [of Islam], so as long as the signs from the signs of Islam[ic governance] remain there, the priority shall be in ruling it in favor of Islam [i.e., Dar al-Islam].

Please note brother that it is incorrect to assume that for a land to be dar al-harb, it must be surrounded from 1 or all 4 sides by dar al-harb. As long as a land is conquered by Muslims and Islamic law is implemented there, it is Dar Al-Islam, even if its surrounding lands are dar al-harb. Do note that at one point in time, Taif, Shaam, Hunayn, etc were also dar al-harb even though they were connected to Dar al-Islam by one or more sides.

What Imam Abu Hanifa said is that one of the conditions in order for a Dar Al-Islam land to be deemed dar al-harb, it should not be surrounded by Dar al-Islam, in addition to the other conditions like the kuffaar taking over it. This is due to the fact that in such a case of such a land (where the kuffaar/apostates have taken over) being surrounded by Dar Al-Islam from all 4 sides will render the domination of the kuffaar as ineffective, impotent, and cornered by Dar Al-Islam, so it wouldn’t be effectively excluded from Dar Al-Islam.

From this, we simply cannot assume the interpretation that just because a Dar al-Islam land may be surrounded by dar al-harb, it is automatically deemed to be dar al-harb! Such an assumption is qiyas fasid taken from the Imam’s saying.

Of course we have the utmost love and respect for our Sunni scholars and we respect differences of opinion in furoo’. In sha Allah you can see that my reasoning is also based on the works of imams.

Yet you accuse Muslims of believing in fairy tales. It is morons like you who teach their children to believe in santa claus, not us!

You have the chance to embrace Islam and save your hereafter, or else in the hereafter YOU will have your face bludgeoned by the angels of hellfire for ever and ever unceasingly.

Henceforth, only genuine queries or concerns, resting on coherent sentences, will be addressed – should you (or others like you) wish to engage with me any further.

As an aside, this blog is not meant for kafirs like you, but rather as a refutation of those hypocrites who like to call themselves Muslims but live only with the aim of pleasing their kafir brothers and sisters such as yourself, with the aid of all sorts of lies and distortions.

You’re mixing up Islam and your own ideology. More slaughter and suffering has been let loose in the world by YOU kafirs and your social and political systems, be it against your fellow infidels or against Muslims. Just check the body counts!

As for what has Islam accomplished, it is a half reasonable question, and I commend someone even as unintelligent and ignorant as yourself, for asking it.

Islam is THE ONLY religion that leads to the Only One True God, Allah, and its aim as commanded by Him, is nothing other than establishing His remembrance and worship in this entire universe.

It is not a requirement of Islam or considered an accomplishment to develop an iphone app or a breathable polymer or to dominate the stock market! Without faith in Allah and worshiping Him, those things are nothing but worthless. The life of this world is more insignificant than a mosquito’s wing in front of Allah.

The certainty of death is one thing you and I could probably agree on. You should become Muslim and save your hereafter.

        Assalamualaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh

I am a Muslim, from a nominal Sunni background and I have some naseeha for you.

        1) [edit]

        2) This message you are preaching is extremely important. One in two Muslims in America have this blasphemous belief and so do 1 in 5 Muslims in the world(there was a poll done.)We are responsible for preaching the right message-that Islam is the only way to Jannah and that whoever fails to die a Muslim after the message reaches him will be destined to eternity in the fire. This of course as you know does NOT mean we don’t fear such for ourselves-we must. The Sahaba RA feared nifaq and wept and wept out of fear. There humble hearts were in the akhirah. This means we need to use the best language against these modern day deviants and liars to call ignorant Muslims towards the truth. You must be gentle in your language when speaking directly to Muslims! It is imperative they shun this filthy evil belief. We can’t afford to let Muslims even be slightly turned away from our words if we are trying to refute a falsehood as tremendous and evil as this. We will be accountable before Allah aza wa jal.

May Allah inspire fear and weeping in me and you like the Sahaba until the day we see the angels.

        Waleykum Salam

        1) Regarding your first point, for the sake of brevity and avoiding confusion, I have edited the names of some individuals or sects, so that we only deal with principles and not get entangled into who did or said what and how it violates Sunni ‘aqiidah or fiqh. Your point is well noted and I will ask the shuyukh regarding what you said, and come back to you in due time. Bear with me and apologies in advance.

        2) We can be gentle with those who do not know. Those who have taken solemn oaths to only defy the truth or twist upon the meanings of the Quran or to refuse to listen to reason and knowledge, they deserve our harshest languages.

2a) Don’t forget that it is also from the mannerism of the Quran. Examples like “names they and their forefathers have concocted”, “they have no knowledge as didn’t their forefathers”, “deaf, dumb, blind”, “astray like cattle”, “vilest of beasts” etc. See this post regarding “good speech” – https://iloveimamrabbani.wordpress.com/2013/07/25/verse-283-and-speaking-good/

2b) Another sub-point pertaining to what you ask me to do, is this – the cure for a poison is the antidote for it. They are two opposites. With the current aura of political correctness and mellowness in language preached by the enemies of Islam only to kill people’s faiths, the antidote to counter that evil is the exact opposite of political correctness and mellowness, namely political INcorrectness and harshness in our language. The enemies of Islam hide behind “freedom of speech” to hurt our beloved Prophet ﷺ and the munaafiqeen cheer them on. We too should use the same freedom of speech to expose the munaafiqeen more than anything else. The open enemies, whatever they may be, are open about their hatred for Islam. Right now our biggest losses are suffered due to the munaafiqeen who claim to be Muslims. We beseech Allah to damn them immensely.

And success isn’t but by Allah’s granting.

It’s refreshing to find people who are willing to be forthcoming about the teachings of the Quran without any of the double-talk; I found this article to be quite enlightening.

Though I have a question. Do you suppose that it’s possible that at least some of the scholars who are teaching friendship between Muslims and non-Muslims don’t actually believe their teachings? I’ll admit, many here in the West would be much more uncomfortable around Muslims if these rules for behavior were more widely known. Maybe these scholars are simply trying to keep the atmosphere in the West more hospitable toward Muslims?

Do you suppose that it’s possible that at least some of the scholars who are teaching friendship between Muslims and non-Muslims don’t actually believe their teachings?

There could be only 2 possibilities:

      1. Those “scholars” who teach friendships between Muslims and nonMuslims KNOW that this is not what Islam stands for – such “scholars” or “shaykhs” would be the hypocrites who have sold their faith and are deliberately lying against the commandments of Allah.

      2. Those “scholars” who genuinely believe that Islam commands friendships between Muslims and nonMuslims – such people are just ignoramuses masquerading as “scholars” and/or zanadiq (plural of zindiq; a zindiq is someone who is deluded into thinking he is a Muslim, but his concepts on core theological matters oppose the Islamic tradition).

I’ll admit, many here in the West would be much more uncomfortable around Muslims if these rules for behavior were more widely known.

Not true. If we acknowledge that we belong to two opposing camps, we would be better equipped to handle our differences and work out a protocol of engagement.

I work in the corporate world. I get along just fine with my nonMuslim colleagues. My interactions are limited to worldly dealings and transactions. I do my best to uphold evenhanded dealings, justice, and professionalism as best as I can.

As examples – It is not a necessary requirement of modern life for you to wish me a happy Ramadzan or for me to wish you on christmas or hanukkah. If you lose a loved one, it is not rude or mean of me to not pray for your deceased loved one or say “rest in peace” or to pray to Allah to have mercy on you or your loved one; merely saying “I hope you have patience to deal with it” or “I’m sure you have good memories” is enough. These evil shaykhs are systematically trying to kill the faiths of Muslims by deliberately undoing the Islamic tradition on how Muslims should carry themselves. From your end it could even be considered polite if I just said “I wish you well” as a fellow human, even if not received in the same vein as “rest in peace” or a prayer. It is irrelevant to you that if I said I wish you well, in my heart, I am actually wishing Islam for you. From my end, the difference between the two approaches is the difference between staying Muslim and leaving Islam. Praying for a deceased kafir is apostasy from Islam. The scholars of evil are systematically teaching people to utter blasphemies causing them to leave Islam.

Hope you see the point I’m trying to make.

We are not forbidden from justice or even-handed dealings, or certain human emotions and courtesies. We ARE however commanded to not just uphold our faith, but also uplift it and maintain emphasis that it is THE ONLY TRUE FAITH, AND to ALWAYS maintain our Islamic identity and character. In Islam faith and identity overlap. For instance, you might consider it a minor issue for a person to wear a cross. In Islamic law, it is apostasy to put the cross on one’s person, even if one does it as a joke. Such a person is deemed to have left Islam, and he must re-enter Islam WITH THE INTENTION of becoming Muslim again and denouncing the act that led to his negation of Islam.

My point is that it is very easy for us Muslims to carry ourselves without upsetting the ecological balance on this planet as long as we have knowledge of our religion. We don’t need the preaching of acceptance of your conventions, traditions, norms, and mores to BE or APPEAR to be normal people. Alas! the teachers of evil are teaching Muslims how to lose their Islam and how to carry themselves like humiliated apologetics!

Maybe these scholars are simply trying to keep the atmosphere in the West more hospitable toward Muslims?

Not at all. They’re only in it for themselves.

Some are bought out by your governments. Some are in it for the money, either from governments who support their narrative, or from innocent people through various dubious means. Some are in it for their 15 minutes of fame on TV or radio. No one’s in it for the ordinary Muslim’s sake.

These people have left the Muslims they’ve touched, in tatters. They have done their best to try and hurt Islam.

Thanks to them, people like you as well as many western Muslims know only 2 types of claimants to Islam – either the misguided miscreants like the IS (called khawarij in Islamic terminology); or the brown-nosing zindiq syncretists who chant “yes sir!” to anything any western government leader or kafir priest utters. People frustrated by either side of innovation, join the other side once frustrated, not knowing that both are doing an equal amount of disservice to Islam and Muslims, and equally “radical” in their senselessness.

The vast majority of the Muslim world belongs to neither camp. They are neither terrorists nor are they so spineless and shameless to bend over backwards in front of you people. We can all live better and more productive lives by acknowledging the fact that we belong to two enemy groups with irreconcilable differences, through mutually acceptable treaties and protocols of engagement.

But just this is not enough. We Muslims also need to counter both these groups of innovators – the khawarij, as well as the zanadiq pretending to be Muslim.

It was also refreshing for me to seen someone who can actually read and understand what is written, despite the fact that we are in fact members of enemy sides, and have nothing in common in our creed, identity, loyalty or faith.

I invite you to become Muslim and save your hereafter. I sincerely wish you safeguard your hereafter. Dying without accepting and acknowledging your Creator is certain, unending doom.

These people have left the Muslims they’ve touched, in tatters. They have done their best to try and hurt Islam.

I see. I suppose it’s just my propensity to assume the best of people and their intentions. It seems strange to me that someone would undermine their own faith for any reason knowingly. After all, people don’t believe things that they hold to be false.

Hope you see the point I’m trying to make.

I believe I do. Just because two people are enemies ideologically doesn’t mean that they can’t act civilly toward each other while having a mutual appreciation for justice and fair dealings. Is that more less accurate?

If so, the clarification you provided was quite helpful.

The Islamic standards for behavior toward non-Muslims are quite a bit different from the ones prescribed by Jesus (Isa, right?) for Christians toward others (love, bless, do good, and pray for enemies and persecutors). Even among Westerners who aren’t Christians, we still grew up in a culture where these teachings hold sway, so teachings that are sufficiently different can be jarring.

As an aside, would these teachings of Jesus be considered abrogated, simply corrupt, or still in effect by Islamic scholars?

It was also refreshing for me to seen someone who can actually read and understand what is written, despite the fact that we are in fact members of enemy sides, and have nothing in common in our creed, identity, loyalty or faith.

From my reading, I suspect that both of us wish to pursue the Truth relentlessly. Both of us wish to be pleasing to God. We have that in common, but one of us is surely in error.

If you don’t mind, I would like to share a scripture that I think is relevant to both of us.
[EDIT: The old & new testaments in their current form as known now, are corrupted, although the Torah and the Injiil given to our masters Moses and Jesus (peace be upon them) in their original form are indeed the word of Allah. Furthermore, even that true scripture is abrogated. I will not permit quoting from your the old or new testaments or any christian or jewish teachings on my blog.]

I invite you to become Muslim and save your hereafter. I sincerely wish you safeguard your hereafter. Dying without accepting and acknowledging your Creator is doom.

Thank you for making that invitation. I know from it that you have concern for my soul, just as I have for yours. Pray that God will lead both you and I in all Truth, and I will do the same. I hope we can both meet each other in the hereafter, by God’s grace.

The root cause of this is love of this world and loss of fear for the hereafter. When people forget that they have to die and face their Creator, they can do anything to earn luxury, comfort, fame, accolades, and money in this temporal world.

Just because two people are enemies ideologically doesn’t mean that they can’t act civilly toward each other while having a mutual appreciation for justice and fair dealings. Is that more less accurate?

Yes, with the repeated emphasis that as Muslims it is our DUTY to ensure we ALWAYS uplift Islam as THE ONLY truthful & acceptable religion and NEVER equate it to any other religion, and that we always only uphold friendships and affinities with our Muslim brothers and sisters and ALWAYS maintain the distinction between US and YOU.

As an aside, would these teachings of Jesus be considered abrogated, simply corrupt, or still in effect by Islamic scholars?

Yes, our master Jesus is called ‘Eisa (peace be upon him) in the Arabic language in the Islamic tradition. Every prophet of Allah brought the same message to worship Allah alone, and also to accept the subsequent prophet to arrive. Our master ‘Eisa never asked anyone to worship himself or his mother or claimed to be the son of Allah, exalted is He above the attributes of His creation. He also commanded people to accept the last Prophet of Allah to arrive after him, our master Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Acceptance of the prophethood of the last prophet our Master Muhammad ﷺ is the acceptance of all the past prophets of Allah. Rejection of ANY prophet of Allah is rejection of ALL of them, and rejection of prophets is rejection of belief in Allah.

As I stated, all prophets of Allah preached the same creedal message to worship Allah alone and none other than Him. However, the canonical laws for human life changed with certain prophets. Whatever from Jesus’ canonical laws is abrogated, it is forbidden to act upon, as now the canonical law (called Shari’ah) in force is the one given to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in the Quran and his teachings.

We are commanded not to confirm or deny anything the people of the book (christians & jews) tell us regarding the past prophets for if they are true, we may be denying something truthful, and if they are false (as their scriptures and canons have been corrupted) we may accept something false – LEST a matter has been confirmed by our master Muhammad ﷺ.

In the Islamic tradition, it is mentioned that the teachings of our Master ‘Eisa (‘ala nabiyyina wa ‘alaihis salam) did include turning the other cheek if someone slapped on one cheek. In the current canon, this can be followed, if we so wish, only in our disputes within our Muslim brothers and sisters (not counting the kind of heretics and hypocrites I described above). There is no greater act of love and caring for the fellow man than calling him to the truth of Islam, even if through harsh means like wars of conquests declared by Muslim heads of states. Helping mankind save its unending and unceasing hereafter is an act of mercy towards mankind even if through wars, as opposed to letting people stay infidel in this short, temporal life and ruin their unending hereafter by being morally bankrupt & impotent ‘yes men’! We are indeed permitted to pray for our enemies to become Muslim. And there is no greater act of compassion to mankind than to prevent a persecutor from his acts of transgression against himself and others.

From my reading, I suspect that both of us wish to pursue the Truth relentlessly. Both of us wish to be pleasing to God. We have that in common, but one of us is surely in error.

Pray that God will lead both you and I in all Truth, and I will do the same.

I KNOW FOR A FACT that it is YOU who is in error.

Allah is the One & Only God of Abraham, Moses, Jesus (peace be upon them) and our master Muhammad ﷺ. It is an abomination to worship the slaves and prophets He created. Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) is a created human slave of Allah and His prophet who never asked anyone to worship himself or his virgin mother. He is similar to our father Adam (peace be upon him) who had neither a human father nor a human mother. Islam is THE ONLY truth and anything other than it is falsehood. I hope for your sake that you become Muslim or else no good deed is beneficial in the hereafter if one dies disbelieving in Allah.

If you wish to save your hereafter when you exit this temporal world, you MUST acknowledge the truth and be Muslim before you die.

I must add also that christianity is based on a demonstrably silly and nonsensical belief (trinity) and that your history certainly doesn’t testify to what you have said about doing good to enemies and so on.

I think it will be very beneficial if you preach to your Ummah to leave the west as if this is your Islamic teachings then I have no desire to be in the same country, let alone continent with you lot.

Our aims for being in your countries (for those of us who are there) are mainly two –
      1) to teach Islam to you poor souls so that you may perchance save your hereafter if you become Muslim.
      2) to engage in worldly business and trade transactions (something we are not forbidden from).

Those who are there to adopt your cultures and lifestyles are in for a very sad awakening on the day of judgment to leave the superior way of life (Islamic) for something so criminally inferior, naked, and animalistic.

While you’re at it venting your spleen, I suggest you also preach to your countrymen and women to stay away from our countries and stop meddling in our affairs. Dump your white man’s burden in your backyard and make a bonfire out of it!

    Surah 25:53 of the Qur’an–

Yusuf Ali: It is He Who has let free the two bodies of flowing water: One palatable and sweet, and the other salt and bitter; yet has He made a barrier between them, a partition that is forbidden to be passed.

Pickthal: And He it is Who hath given independence to the two seas (though they meet); one palatable, sweet, and the other saltish, bitter; and hath set a bar and a forbidding ban between them.

Shakir: And He it is Who has made two seas to flow freely, the one sweet that subdues thirst by its sweetness, and the other salt that burns by its saltness; and between the two He has made a barrier and inviolable obstruction.

    Explain?

      jimjfox,

I will post an explanation of the verse you asked, some time soon.

Do note, that you were not really after an ‘explanation’ but rather looking to vent your pre-conceived ill notions under the garb of “explain”, and therefore, I have deleted your retarded comment.

For now, do note that the job of translating the Quran is not just about a literal flipping of words. Sadly, a lot of the damage, be it for Muslims or islamophobic infidels such as yourself, has been done by slaves of the empire who claim Muslim names. For some insight, do read this post – https://iloveimamrabbani.wordpress.com/2012/02/01/with-the-quran-as-my-imam/

I will get back to countering your retarded allegations in a few days.

Very good stuff you are translating. However a question comes to my mind. I have only seen the murderous khawarij sect who preach this kind of stuff. Everyone else is today kissing the boots of the kuffaar. Can you name at least a few authentic sufi scholars who follow the 4 mazhabs who stick authentically to the teachings which you are showing here. There surely must exist some who we can refer to and trust not to water down the deen. Jazakallah.

The murderous khawarij are imbeciles who do not have a clue about the Shari’ah or its objectives and injunctions. The Prophet ﷺ said it best, that they shall read the Quran but it won’t go down their throats. The khawarij preach wanton murder of civilians including Muslim civilians. Islam teaches proper protocols of engagement with kafirs while uplifting and maintaining our Muslim faith and identity. There is a big difference between the two.

Every teaching I have mentioned here, I have given references for it from authentic Sunni sources.

For starters you can read Imam Al-Ghazali’s الوجيز في فقه الإمام الشافعي and الوسيط في المذهب and you will see ample evidence for what is talked about here.

I’m only replying here just so this kafir idiot (jimjfox) doesn’t think I’m being evasive. The tafseer of the verse 25:53 is very clear in stating that the various [naturally] sweet and salt water bodies are a proof of Allah’s Might & Omnipotence. Yes indeed salt dissolves in water as the exegeses state and as is known to man since the beginning of time. This is not a new scientific discovery as jimjfox would like people to believe.

The point is that despite salt dissolving in fresh water, sweet water bodies and salty water bodies do not mix and form one homogeneous solution. If that were the case, by now, all the water in the world’s seas, oceans, and rivers etc. would be one homogeneous solution with a standard salinity [and a range of other common properties].

Of course, the enemies of Islam who like to think of themselves of masters of science, might bring in flow dynamics into the picture and say that it is because water flows from this point to that point and from this pressure to that pressure and not the other way round, and that is why all the natural water bodies in the world are not one continuous and uniform solution with constant physical and chemical properties.

But the idiots forget to see that the laws of nature are once again a marvel of Allah’s creation and that that is precisely the point stated here in the verse – that sweet and salty natural water bodies do NOT mix to form one mega water-body of uniform and constant physical and chemical properties.

jimjfox, you know where to contact me or any other Muslim and let us know if and when the sweet and salty water bodies of the earth have merged to form one homogeneous solution with standard and constant physical and chemical properties.

Till then, your so called objection is a mere exhibit of your own bigotry and inability to reason and/or read.

This is in response to an idiotic comment posted by an old fool pictured standing on a surfing board with a walking cane!!

    This site should be deleted.

So says a believer in free speech.

It is giving a false picture of how to live by the Islam.

I doubt you can even read the Quran in Arabic.

The core statement should be to respect each other whatever religion or belief they follow. This article states the complete difference. It says people who do not follow Islam are not worth equal and should not be threated equal to muslims.

No one called for uncivil behavior between various peoples.

If you stopped trying to surf the waves with a cane and ever learnt to read and develop a sense of reasoning, you would have noticed that:

Two opposites are not equal. Islam is the opposite of every religion other than itself.

Muslims are one nation/fraternity and kafirs are another nation/fraternity.

We are not allowed by the One & Only God of all that exists, Allah – and simply can’t and won’t – consider kafirs as a part of our nation/fraternity.

Neither will we ever consider all people on earth to be one nation/fraternity. Muslims and kafirs (regardless of their form of kufr like hinduism or atheism or christianity or judaism) belong to two opposite nations/fraternities.

A problem is that everyone can call another muslim a zindiq or munafiq. Now who would be the one to judge if he is either of those if not a real and neutral court? If this would be the religion the whole world would follow there would only be mistrust and hatred among those following this religion.

Some knowledge and the ability to read and understand is due your way.

On this site, we follow the methodology of the Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama’ah, the way of the Quran and Sunnah as taught by the four schools of Sunni jurisprudence – Hanafi, Shafi’iy, Maliki and Hanbali. All four of these schools have the same rulings on what constitutes Islam and what constitutes zandaqa and/or apostasy. Now obviously, any judgments passed would be based on the jurisprudence of these 4 schools.

I believe in Islam and that Islam makes sense and everyone could come to Islam by using rational thinking but I am not comfortable with the idea of eternal hell. I don’t find this merciful.

Allah is the Creator of the universe and everything in it.

He is not bound by obligations to anyone. He owns everything and is not answerable to anyone or what their feeble minds find uncomfortable.

      We are answerable to Him.

Whatever comes from Him, is either His Mercy or His Justice.

injustice by definition is not putting something in its assigned place or not giving something its due. Since He is the Creator and Owner of everything, it is His Will that decides what goes where or what is due what. injustice is an attribute absolutely impossible and inconceivable for Him.

It is His Justice that some of His creation shall suffer everlastingly in hellfire.

His Mercy of paradise in the hereafter is promised to those who believe in Him as He has commanded us to believe in Him, that is, by acknowledging Him as the Only God of the universe, accepting all His prophets, all His angels, all His heavenly books, life after death, and that good and bad fate is from Him alone.

Acceptance and belief in His last Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is acceptance of ALL of His previous prophets, ALL the past heavenly books, and all the other central tenets of faith.

He has given us free choice to become Muslim and die Muslim so that we can save our hereafter.

Those who do not accept Islam despite having heard of our beloved Master Muhammad ﷺ, are promised everlasting hellfire and their punishment shall never cease or be lessened. This is His Promise in the Quran.

I do understand this from a rational point of view. But I find this difficult from a spiritual side. I read your article about Imam Rabbanis view about those people who did not have a prophet. Although Allah’s existence is logical and can be realized Allah does not punish people without warning through a Prophet. So I hope that there is some room for this in more cases.

        October 16, 2015 at 10:14 am

The rational and the spiritual do not clash for Muslims. There is no spirituality without a firm grounding in the basic creed of the Ahlus Sunnah and the Shari’ah.

I don’t know what “room” you are looking for. Allah and His Promises are not contingent to your whims or the hypocrites’ love of their kafir brothers and sisters that exceeds their supposed love of Allah, His Deen, and Muslims – so much that they start crafting sophisticated theories on how their kafir brothers and sisters will be saved in the hereafter.

The matter is very simple and clear – anyone who has heard of our Master RasulAllah ﷺ and yet dies without becoming Muslim, his face shall be torched everlastingly in hellfire and his punishment shall never be lessened. Simple as that.

Don’t let the nonsensical ramblings of syncretist and perennialist infidels (like hossein nasr for example) corrupt your faith and take you to hellfire.

“People who call themselves “Sunni Muslims” and flag bearers of the “Ash’aris” and “Maturidis” and “Hanafis” and “Shafi’iys” and “Hanbalis” and “Malikis” and the noble “Sufis” are working actively and hand in hand with the kuffaar to propagate evil and kufr, and destroy the faiths of Muslims and pull it out of their hearts.”

Dude, are you like for real right now? So you are saying that myself, a normal Sunni Muslim, am propogating evil and destroying Islam? Are you serious? I hope you are not.

Instead of following the example of our Prophet (PBUH) who drew people to Islam nicely and peacefully, by being respectful and courteous, you seem content on ridiculing and mocking others.
This is not how a true Muslim should behave.

A true Muslim is one who is respectful, courteous, and pious. One who is merciful, humble, and smiles at people when he passes them. One who people notice and want to be like, without even knowing if they are Muslim or not. We need to bring this Sunnah back into our Ummah, this is what true Islam is.

I sincerely suggest you re-evaluate yourself and your values, because joke or not, stuff like this is not funny to publish on a website.

I am interested in hearing your response. Thank you.

Dude, are you like for real right now?

      Yes.

So you are saying that myself, a normal Sunni Muslim, am propogating evil and destroying Islam? Are you serious? I hope you are not.

And who are you? What exactly do you propagate and preach? If you propagate love of kuffar and respect of their religions, then yes indeed, you are propagating nothing other than evil and a tool trying to destroy Islam.

If you propagate love of Muslims, abandonment of affinities to kafirs, and sheer contempt for their religions, then you are propagating good and trying to help Islam.

Note the verse of the Quran 3:110 which tells Muslims, (translation of meaning) ‘You are the best of nations emerged from mankind, you enjoin good and forbid evil believing in Allah’.

You can’t forbid evil by respecting it and by being chummy with it. And there is no evil greater than disbelief in Allah.

Instead of following the example of our Prophet (PBUH) who drew people to Islam nicely and peacefully, by being respectful and courteous, you seem content on ridiculing and mocking others.
This is not how a true Muslim should behave.

I say with certainty fools like you are utterly ignorant of the example of the Prophet ﷺ. You are merely parroting what you have heard idiots speak in fancy conference halls in the west or what they’ve written down on the net in order to appeal to the sensibilities of kafirs. If you would have bothered to read the example of the Prophet ﷺ you would have seen it for what it is.

Disbelief like christianity should be shown for the ugly, illogical, pathetic tripe that it is – especially so in times of ours where political correctness and equivocation is the order of the day.

A true Muslim is one who is respectful, courteous, and pious. One who is merciful, humble, and smiles at people when he passes them.

No one is asking you to become a raving wahabi madman.

A Muslim is best described by the Quran – someone who is merciful amongst his believer bretheren, and harsh upon the kuffar (48:29).

One who people notice and want to be like, without even knowing if they are Muslim or not.

Rather it is someone who wants to be like what Allah wants him to be like.

When the Prophet ﷺ first started his call, no one wanted to be like Bilal Al-Habashi radi Allahu ‘anhu for instance. Rather Muslims were persecuted for being Muslims. But they persevered and did as they were told. They held on trying to being what Allah wants them to be like.

Islam is obligatory upon mankind, but that doesn’t mean it’s a popularity contest. These days many fools want to be like rock stars, so do you think Islam expects Muslims to be ugly, stoned punks only so people will want to ‘be like them’.

As for knowing if someone is Muslim or not, a Muslim is instantly recognized by his/her appearance. Read up on the ahadiith of the Prophet ﷺ that command Muslims not to imitate the dressing of the kuffar.

I sincerely suggest you re-evaluate yourself and your values, because joke or not, stuff like this is not funny to publish on a website.

I’m not here for laughs. Indeed, religion is no joking matter.

Tell me what are the parts you have a problem with, and why, and how you are right. Pick any problematic lines, and refute me from the Quran, Hadith and sayings of classical Muslim scholars and I promise you I will publish your rebuttal and retract on this very same venue.

If you can’t tell me what exactly you find problematic, and just how it is wrong in light of the Quran and Sunnah and the rulings of the imams of the madhhabs, then I suggest you don’t waste any more of your or my time.

I have let in this comment of yours and replied earnestly. I will also let in your next comment, whatever it is. If it is something based on evidence and proofs from Islam, or specific points of Islam that you seem to have misunderstood based on the diatribes of hypocrites, I will still respond with an Islamic discussion based on Islamic sources.

If it is just more empty rhetoric and slogans like your first comment, I will let it through so that you and others can see that I was sincere. But no more after that. I don’t have the time of day for retards and/or kafir-pleasers.

Okay, thank you for taking time to reply, I really appreciate it.

I recognize that you are someone with a lot of knowledge. Please allow me to ask you some questions. I am very curious because the tone in which you wrote the article is very different from other Muslims. Most Muslims I know are very kind and soft, but your tone is entirely different from theirs. Anyways….

What I have a problem with is what you said here:

“People who call themselves “Sunni Muslims” and flag bearers of the “Ash’aris” and “Maturidis” and “Hanafis” and “Shafi’iys” and “Hanbalis” and “Malikis” and the noble “Sufis” are working actively and hand in hand with the kuffaar to propagate evil and kufr, and destroy the faiths of Muslims and pull it out of their hearts.”

So you are against Sunni Muslims and Sunni Islam, is that what you are saying? What sect of Islam do you follow then (Shia, Sufi?) Just curious in knowing.

What really strikes me about you is that contrary to other Muslim people, you seem very cold and harsh. Like you just called me a fool and retard/kaffir pleaser when you replied to my first comment. I mean, all the other main Muslim sheikhs/imams/scholars that I know would not call other people out like that, rather they would ridicule their beliefs or whatever, but would never make fun of the person itself. I’m sorry, it just seems like you constantly hurl personal insults at others. I was always thought never to insult others like that because it is haram, but you do it anyways.
That is why in my first comment I talked about the Prophet having a good character.

Anyways, I am curious in knowing your thoughts on other Muslim speakers, such as Nouman Ali Khan, Mufti Menk, Omar Suleiman, etc. You say that I am “parroting about what idiots say in fancy conference halls in the west.” So what are your thoughts then on Muslim speakers such as those then?

What I meant by a Muslim being someone who others would notice and want to be like, I meant that they are drawn to his or her good character, just like how people were towards the Prophet PBUH.

Anyways, I do not have much else to say. I am just a dumb teenager who is still learning about Islam, and stumbled across your site. I realize you are very knowledgeable in the Quran and Sunnah, which is odd because most people I know who are knowledgeable teach Islam in a nice peaceful manner, you on the other hand do not. Whatever though, maybe I am in the wrong for judging you. I apologize, I do not know you or your situation, and only Allah can judge people. Thank you for reading, interested in your response.

Zeyaad, I do not know you or have any personal issues with you.

You seem more than anything, to sometimes have a problem with understanding and digesting what you read. Let’s start with the major issue first.

Again, you didn’t seem to grasp what you read.

I seek Allah’s refuge from being against Sunni Islam and Sunni Muslims.

Alhamdulillah, I am a Sunni Muslim – Ash’ari in creed and Hanafi in madhhab, and an aspirant to a Sufi path.

All four madhhabs – Hanafi, Shafi’iy, Hanbali, and Maliki – belong to Sunni Islam and it is our obligation to respect and honor them. The creed that Sunnis follow is the same through out with some minor differences between Ash’aris and Maturidis.

I have clearly said “people who call themselves “Sunni Muslims””.

I am clearly referring to the people who CLAIM TO BE Sunnis, but in reality are the very opposite of what they claim. They are kafir-pleasers. I am most certainly against such people and their filthy agenda to please kafirs and to try and show that all religions are equal. Islam is THE ONLY truth and every religion other than Islam is rotten and bound for hellfire.

I am very curious because the tone in which you wrote the article is very different from other Muslims.

You have come back sincerely and nicely and therefore I am also saying nicely – please point to specific examples and not generalities. As for the general tone, it is neither harsh, nor soft. It is serious. It addresses some issues on how Muslims should deal with kafirs in varying circumstances.

The net doesn’t always betray our feelings or emotions correctly. From your first comment, you sounded like someone who supports the kafir-pleasers claiming to be Sunnis. This second comment has said some more about who you are and what your situation is.

I called you a fool for parroting the oft-repeated lines of the kafir pleasers regarding the Prophet’s ﷺ good character. Indeed the Prophet’s ﷺ character is supremely exalted. However, being harsh to heretics and kafirs is VERY MUCH A PART OF THE SUPREMELY EXALTED CHARACTER OF THE PROPHET ﷺ, and this is what those kafir-pleasers in fancy conference halls of the west will NEVER mention to people such as yourself who are out to sincerely look for the true teachings of Islam.

As for retard/kafir-pleaser, I didn’t call you that but rather said that IN CASE you are one of them and come back with more slogans that have been programmed into you by the fake Sunnis, I would judge you to be a kafir-pleaser/retard.

Being harsh to heretics is a requirement of Islam. There is a difference between being harsh to heretics and hurling personal insults. I did not assume you to be a heretic then, but it does look like you’re haunted by the teachings of heretics, despite the fact that you sincerely wish to learn more of deen.

Stay away from the mentioned people and their talks if you wish to safeguard your hereafter.

        My advice to you.

        1. Stay away from wahabis
        2. Stay away from shias
        3. Stay away from those SO-CALLED Sunnis professing the Ash’ari/Maturidi creed and one of the 4 schools of Sunni Islam but yet function only as kafir pleasers.

        4. Find a sincere shaykh who professes the Ash’ari/Maturidi creed and one of the 4 schools of Islam AND IS NOT A kafir-pleaser. (Although I will concede that it will be an uphill battle to find such a sincere shaykh in north america. Such sincere people are generally not famous. In these times only the rotten fruits attain fame.)

Whatever though, maybe I am in the wrong for judging you. I apologize, I do not know you or your situation, and only Allah can judge people.

See, that again is something based on the teachings of kafir-pleasers. They teach such things to people because they never want anyone to “judge” them. They want to build cults around their personalities. They are not sincere in teaching Islam. They just want people to follow them without ever questioning them, their so-called authority, or their so-called expert knowledge.

True, only Allah’s Judgment is supreme and perfect.

However, as humans, we too have been commanded to “judge” and act on our judgments as best as we can.

If you did not “judge me”, you wouldn’t have posted. If I didn’t “judge” something from your first comment, I wouldn’t have responded in the way I did, and you wouldn’t have further responded with your latest comment. It is because of both our “judging” that we had this exchange.

I sincerely appreciate your “judging”. Never give up on “judging” and don’t let anyone talk you out of it either, or else you will end up like the fools of the west who will praise or maintain silence on evils like adultery and homosexual sex.

ALWAYS “judge” people and situations as you see them. The hidden is known to Allah alone. We are commanded to act on the apparent only.

The Prophet ﷺ has commanded us to correct wrong by our hands if we can, if unable to correct it by our hands, then by our tongues, if unable to correct it by our tongues, then to sincerely deem it as wrong in our hearts. How can all this be possible without “judging”!!!

        was-Salam.

Assalamualaykum brother. I refer to your following statement:

“People who call themselves “Sunni Muslims” and flag bearers of the “Ash’aris” and “Maturidis” and “Hanafis” and “Shafi’iys” and “Hanbalis” and “Malikis” and the noble “Sufis” are working actively and hand in hand with the kuffaar to propagate evil and kufr, and destroy the faiths of Muslims and pull it out of their hearts.”

However, it appears that the great majority, i.e. the Sawad-e-Azam, are guilty of what you stated, or at the least compromising, distorting, and mutilating the teachings that you are propagating on this website. I would be grateful if you clarify why the Sawad-e-Azam of Asharis and Maturidis and Sufis and followers of the 4 madhabs are all propagating kuffar boot-licking – albeit to varying degrees of boot-licking?

Or if you say that all these scholars are charlatans, then who exactly are,the Sawad-e-Azam today, the great mass of scholars, who are propagating the truth which you are propagating? Please give us at least a list of names of real authorities of the Sawad-e-Azam today, so that we layman know whom to take our Deen from. Jazakallah

However, it appears that the great majority, i.e. the Sawad-e-Azam, are guilty of what you stated, or at the least compromising, distorting, and mutilating the teachings that you are propagating on this website.

Sawad-e-Azam is not defined by majority in numbers. Most of the people in this world are kafirs. It is defined by the right belief.

I would be grateful if you clarify why the Sawad-e-Azam of Asharis and Maturidis and Sufis and followers of the 4 madhabs are all propagating kuffar boot-licking – albeit to varying degrees of boot-licking?

Those who propagate friendships with kuffar and boot-licking are NOT from the Sawad-e-Azam.

THEY ARE CHARLATANS, DAJJALS, AND HYPOCRITES WHO CLAIM TO BELONG TO THE SAWAD-E-AZAM. That is the whole message and point of this blog.

Or if you say that all these scholars are charlatans, then who exactly are,the Sawad-e-Azam today, the great mass of scholars, who are propagating the truth which you are propagating?

Again, the Sawad-e-Azam is NOT dependent on numbers.

How many people were with our Master Rasulullah ﷺ in the early Meccan era?

How many people were with our Master Ibrahiim ‘alaihis salam?

As for who in these times is propagating the truth, they may be few but they do exist. And they exist in every part of the Muslim world as well as kafir nations. One just has to look for them.

Remember, nothing valuable ever comes for free, and there are no shortcuts to success. You have to look for them, and work hard to recognize them and take benefit from them.

As a rule of thumb, in these times they mostly certainly are NOT the published ones, those who appear on interviews with the kafir media, enjoy popularity with the rich, famous and the powerful, or hold “conventions” and “workshops” in luxury hotels.

Furthermore, if they do not focus on teaching their students Arabic and the source texts in Arabic, but rely on their own English “translations” and “commentaries” alone, they are from the boot-licking camp. The true scholars of the Ahlus Sunnah will always teach ARABIC and the books of the masters IN ARABIC. They will not be ashamed to be cross-questioned or corrected. Their egos are not inflated.

They won’t behave like the christian vatican that has the sole responsibility of understanding and dispensing the christian religion to the christian masses, which is pretty much how the boot-licking camp operates. They (from the boot-liking camp) like to think of themselves as the popes of the Muslim world and spew any puerile nonsense as “traditional Islamic knowledge”, hate to be cross questioned and taken to task and cry “fitnah” when they are caught out.

        Assalamualaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh

New blasphemous filth called Study Quran has come out. Basically the author is Perrenialist and the shuyookh are MILDLY refuting it and not labelling those who believe it as murtadeen and munafiqeen but are taking a slow and gentle approach.

Please I ask you in the name of Allah, come up with the most airtight refutation possible and spread it. Anyone who is truly a Muslim will believe you concerning this clear matter insha Allah and only the munafiqoon and kuffar will reject it insha Allah.

        [edit]

Please make a FB account and spread the word of the truth to everyone. My hands are tied at the moment. Avoid calling them murtadeen directly just say “All the scholars agree whoever has this false belief is a kaffir”

I’ve heard about that filth by the perennialist devil, seyyid hossein nasr. The filthy rafidzi is a perennialist and a kafir murtad of the first order and only a munafiq or a zindeeq will consider the devil as a Muslim. This was even before he published this particular epistle of perennialist filth!

The hypocrite from california, as is his habit to cheer any abomination against Islam, is one of the few cheering from the sidelines.

As for coming up with an airtight refutation, in-sha-Allah, bi idhniLlah. It is a duty upon all of us, and it WILL come.

For starters, just note a very simple thing – the perennialist munafiq’s work is an English-only work. He has left out the Arabic script of the Quran, for the simple reason, that whatever he is saying is his own opinion, and neither a literal translation of the Quran, nor a translation of meaning extracted from the commentaries of the masters. Do note that it is forbidden to call a translation as “Quran”. It is haram to present a translation of the verses without the original Arabic script, and it is haram to transliterate the Quran in other languages. And this is the very reason it is haram, our Quran and deen is preserved in and by the Arabic language. Foraying into something all-out non-Arabic is an old tactic of the hypocrites and the enemies of Islam. Coming to commentaries, his “footnotes” and “commentaries” are again full of his own opinions and lies upon the masters. Knowledge of our deen rests on Arabic and those who wish to honestly bring this knowledge to the masses either need to teach Arabic and the works of the masters in Arabic itself, or in the very least, present the Arabic citations from the works of the masters, in their works. Needless to say, neither hossein nasr nor those who are cheering him on, like the hypocrite from california, are in the least bit honest about imparting the knowledge of deen to common people.

The thing with ordinary people like us is that deen is not a money churning business for us. We have livelihoods to earn without using deen, and have familial commitments to take care of.

It is very easy for a munafiq to open up a liberal arts college or a seekers pub and misguide the masses in the name of deen and to solicit illicit funding from the enemies of Islam like the kafir media, the kafir “academia”, or the business ventures of the ismailis or qadiyanis, or simply from unsuspecting people genuinely wishing to learn Islam. They can thus devote their lives 24/7 in their pursuits to hurt Islam as best as they can.

In any case, the help of Allah is with the believers just as it aided the warriors of the Battle of Badr. Despite the fact that the munaafiqeen work 24/7 to try and extinguish Allah’s light of Islam, even our little efforts render their pursuits as fruitless. Allah’s deen does not need our help, but it is duty of Muslims to refute such finely distilled evil, for their own sakes, and in-sha-Allah Muslims will issue air tight refutations of the works of these munaafiqeen as they have been doing throughout history.

Islam’s message to such scum is very clear –

ISLAM EXCLUSIVELY IS THE TRUTH. MUSLIMS EXCLUSIVELY WILL GO TO HEAVEN. ALL KAFIRS SHALL BURN EVERLASTINGLY IN THE INFERNO. ANYONE WHO DOESN’T BELIEVE IN THIS IS NOTHING BUT A PIG-EATING INFIDEL, REGARDLESS OF WHAT HE EATS OR WEARS OR THE NAME HE CARRIES ON HIS ID CARD. IF HE EVER MARRIED A MUSLIMAH, HIS MARRIAGE IS NULL AND VOID AND HIS CHILDREN AFTER THIS APOSTASY ARE ILLEGITIMATE CHILDREN OF ZINA. IT IS IMPERMISSIBLE TO EAT THE MEAT SLAUGHTERED BY SUCH A PERSON. IT IS HARAM TO PRAY FOR HIM OR TO ATTEND HIS FUNERAL, IF HE DIES WITHOUT BECOMING MUSLIM AGAIN. SUCH A PERSON MUST BE BOYCOTTED BY MUSLIMS, EVEN IF HE HAPPENS TO BE ONE’S FATHER OR BROTHER OR SON. (needless to say, applies on every gender)

As for the confusion caused by the perennialist infidels about people of past prophets entering heaven, Islamic theology is very very simple –

The only true and acceptable religion has been Islam from the beginning of time.

A person who believes in Allah as the One & Only God of all creation along with accepting the current prophet, he is a MUSLIM. There are explicit verses from the Quran proving this, like about the helpers of our Master ‘Eisa ‘alaihis salam, or the Quranic verses saying our Master Ibrahiim ‘alaihis salam is a Muslim.

When a new prophet arrived in the world, it is incumbent upon people to accept him.

Those who believed in Allah and accepted our Master Muusa ‘alaihis salam as a prophet (ie, the ummah of our Master Muusa), in his time, were indeed heaven-bound Muslims.

When our Master ‘Eisa ‘alaihis salam arrived, those who rejected him as a prophet of Allah, they were kafirs.

Our Master Muhammad ﷺ is the last & final prophet of Allah, and his currency lasts till the end of time. Accepting him is de facto acceptance of ALL past prophets of Allah.

FAITH RESTS UPON ACCEPTANCE OF OUR MASTER MUHAMMAD ﷺ.

ANYONE WHO DOES NOT ACCEPT HIM AND ALL THAT HE BROUGHT WITH HIM, HE IS INDEED A DAMNED INFIDEL (KAFIR). ANYONE WHO DOUBTS SUCH A PERSON (WHO DOESN’T ACCEPT OUR MASTER MUHAMMAD ﷺ AS ALLAH’S LAST PROPHET, OR REJECTS ANY PART OF THE DEEN HE BROUGHT) TO BE AN INFIDEL IS HIMSELF AN INFIDEL. THERE ISN’T AN ISLAMIC SCHOLAR WHO DISPUTES THIS.

the munafiq, the rafidzi & perennialist hossein nasr can only make his kafir masters in western academia happy. He won’t be able to change the faiths of Muslims or change anything in the world of Islam.

Men of Allah like our Master ‘Umar radzi Allahu ‘anhu are mentioned in golden letters by people and their rewards with Allah are greater than man can imagine.

munaafiqeen on the other hand, like these perennialist infidels like hossein nasr, are forgotten like dead vermin.

And success isn’t but by Allah’s granting.

You need to understand what absolute ownership is. Your so-called “moral problem” is due to the rules, norms, conventions etc. satan has planted in your head. Your so-called morality isn’t worth the paper it’s written on. Whatever Allah, The Creator & Owner of all creation, ordains as right (moral) is right, and what He decrees as wrong (immoral) is wrong. You are bound by the standards (religion) He has set for you. He is not bound by anyone or anything or what their feebale minds perceive to be right or wrong. He controls His creation. His creation does NOT control Him. He has no obligations to His creation. His creation has obligations to Him. He will not be questioned for anything. His creation will be questioned by Him.

As for your other question, that too is related to your own satanic whisperings of what you perceive to be right or wrong. If you liberate yourself from the man-made ideals of right and wrong set by the kuffar, you will see a lot of good and worthy answers to your question that you have posed in such a sick way. No more comments from you will be accepted henceforth.

    Assalamu’alaykum warahmatullah wabarakatuhu, Brother.

    Salam from Indonesia.

I got clearer understanding of Islam through your many posts and your criticisms towards some of popular shaykhs [snip]. I was shocked at your sharp comment about those two scholars, really.

And in this comment, or question actually, would you mind shedding some light and your comment on these two sites, of the re-known Islamic scholars and preachers: [snip]. Are they the true Islamic scholars? Thank your very much for any of your help.

    Salam,

Waleikum Salam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu

You don’t know which two scholars I had in mind when I made those sharp comments. They apply to anyone who fits that description.

As for the links you gave me, really I didn’t get a chance to go through them in detail. My simple answer:

      1. Stay away from wahabis
      2. Stay away from shias
      3. Stay away from the Quran-only sect
      4. Stay away from perennialists and those who preach equality of all religions or a fraternal love between Muslims and kafirs
      5. Stay away from qadiyanis (aka the so-called “ahmadiyya muslims”), alevis, ismailis.

Such people are heretics at best (in the case of some wahabis or shias) or apostates at worst (ALL of no.s 3, 4 & 5). There are other heretics too outside of the Ahlus Sunnah, but currently these are the greatest enemies of the Ahlus Sunnah. It doesn’t matter who sits in which mosque in which city. Deen is defined by Allah and His Prophet ﷺ, not by people’s place of residence or positions in duniya.

No, I meant if you got the first one(where i asked the question) then delete “it” which, in the above message meant that very message, i.e the second one . Anyways, I am asking the second part of my original query again:
…. and there is no riba between a muslim and a non muslim citizen of darul harb i.e a harbi( and Abu Yusuf and al shafi opposed this)… and likewise if he sold them carrion or swine or gambled with them and earned money, it is permissible…( and because their money is permissible for the Muslim) and this applies with certainty to (all kinds of ) prohibited money (except that) it is haram for the muslim if it is earned by dishonest means ( if it is not obtained by dishonesty, it is permissible, no matter which way it is obtained), after consent has been obtained [ Fath Al Qadir, Vol 7, book of selling, chapter on interest (riba), pages 37 through 39]

Something similar has been stated in a book published by our turkish brothers. I already know about interest from a harbi, but what about transactions such as selling carrion, swine, etc to a harbi?

        March 18, 2016 at 2:17 pm

I’m sorry I haven’t had the time to consult the scholars lately. But as far as I know from past queries on this topic, this is not an open permission to trade in carrion or swine. Rather it is meant for exceptional cases.

Think of this scenario. You own a few cows. They all die of a disease. Then they are carrion. You are allowed to sell them to a harbiy kafir. Such a transaction would not be permitted in a Muslim state with Muslims or dhimmis.

Likewise, think that you have a farmland. A stray pig wanders into your land and you shoot it. You can sell it off to a harbiy who is willing to buy it off.

In regards to gambling, it is again pertaining to certain situations. Firstly, it is not an open permission to gamble. If a Muslim is ABSOLUTELY SURE of winning a bet, due to any reason, and he plays with a harbiy kafir/s, then such a game would be permitted. It is NOT a permission to play a bet where he has chances of winning as well as losing. Furthermore, EVEN IF a Muslim is SURE of winning a bet, but the game involves another Muslim who will lose money, then such a bet is unallowed.

I will tell you a real life scenario I experienced personally with a harbiy in a western country. At my previous place of employment, a christian colleague bought a lotto ticket, and gifted it to me. It was permissible for me to keep the ticket and be a part of the game, and had I won the lotto, the winnings would have been perfectly allowed to me based on Hanafi madhhab.

I hope you understand. I will ask the scholars again and verify to you.

        Allah knows best.

I have snipped this kafir’s disparaging comments. This filthy infidel can’t see that he too sees anyone who doesn’t believe in his ideology and values as inferior. However, it is a problem to him when Muslims very rightly proclaim Islam’s monopoly over religious, moral, and spiritual truths and all other codes of human ethics.

He sees the presence of Islam as an existential threat to his own ideology. He has no qualms about working towards the destruction of Islam but will cry a river when his ugly, naked, filthy ‘way of life’ is blasted by Muslims (or his fellow kafirs of opposing ideologies; like the communists).

This kafir can burn in his rage but Allah’s Will will be done and Islam will spread over every inch of the planet.

Agree with pretty much all of above other than muslim women being permitted to become lawyers or doctors which would invariably mean such women having to have haraam interaction with kuffaar men. Completely contrary to Deeni ghairah. Furthermore, there is no Daroorah, and short-sighted “benefits” perceived by our feeble man-made logic NEVER justifies Haraam means.

I said “Muslim lawyers” and “Muslim female doctors”.

I agree with you in regards to the female Muslim lawyer part. Personally, I don’t see a dzaroorah. I think male Muslim lawyers can serve the purposes of the community. If there is a genuine Shari’ah complying dire need for female Muslim lawyers, some people would obviously disagree with us.

But Muslim female doctors (and midwives) are needed to help our sisters with women’s medical issues. This is very much a requirement of our community.
